What colors are you putting on the inside?

It will be the original color - dark grey

Overall the truck will be almost completely stock except for the following:

Headers
Pertronix in a pre-68 distributor
Emissions removed

where to begin

i just got my pig and need help with where to begin. it has been sitting and needs brakes and pos. clutch. it has what looks like a new carb and fuel pump and did start right up. it has tons of rust. windshield corners, door bottoms, sills, drip rails, tail gate, the usual. looking for advice. i have seen some people cut the sills and do rock rails but what about all the other areas?

I added paint PPG Paint numbers to my previous post.

Merbesfield - my opinion on rust is "cut it out if you can" and weld in new metal, but that depends on your ultimate goal with your truck. What do you want it to be?

Wow! I had not looked at this thread since you posted the pics of it painted. That is beautiful.

I like the green 55's as well.

Can't wait to see the pics of the interior.

Great job!

yes i agree with you on the "cut it out". my solution for the rust of my pig is to get rid of the pig all together and switch gears completly. i have now purchased two FJ45LV's, a 65 & 66. my 78 pig will be the donor for all its mechanicals to restore and update the 66 LV complete with 4spd, PS and rear disc conversion. you can see my resto thread in the 45 owners section.
