Man, the great Texas attitude often makes me want to move back. Both my kids are Texans (Livingston Memorial Hospital) but I still fear the humidity I escaped from. What's Galveston like these days?

If you decide to buy it, let me know when you fly in. If my schedule will allow I will try to make myself available to pick you up and take you to the dealer.

You want to fly in to Bush Intercontinental if possible. It is only 12 miles from the dealer and on the north end of town (closer to Kansas!).

Tim

Tim,

I PM'ed you.

Thanks

Congrats, Nice looking truck. Looks just like mine when I bought it. In fact, if you want to "Picture" it with mods, just look at my ROTW link.

Romer,

Well... it's not "finalized" yet, but thanks.
As far as golden LX450's go your "after" version looks :smokin:

Sebastian,

I just saw this thread and yes, Tim is a great guy. This was posted over in our club forum. If Tim can't help you with a ride to the dealership, let me know and I'll do what I can to lend a hand. Good luck on the purchase.

Sebastian is flying in at 1100 on Thursday. Unfortunately, I will be in the hospital at that time getting a heart catheterization (oh boy, there goes my mod money!).

He mentioned the dealer offered to pick him up and last communication we had, I think he was going to take them up on it.

I would much rather he get a ride to the dealer in my LX-450...but you can't win them all.

Buck,

Yes, Tim is a great guy, I wish I could meet him in person.

I've made the arrangements with the dealership to pick me up already,
but I can cancel them, if you still can pick me up.
I will arrive this Thursday at 11:00AM.
The dealership is apparently like 15 minutes from the Bush airport.

Cheers

Well you've done a lot of good for other people Tim - now it's time to take care of yourself. ;)

Always glad to help. Lord knows I've received more than my share of help on this board.

I've had at least twelve catherizations, many at UTMB Galveston, and two major open heart surgeries, so if you need to share any concerns let me know.

Hey Sebastian, welcome to the club! We picked up a '97 LX450 a couple of weeks ago. Did a little "wheeling" at Asher's last weekend with it. Not nearly as nice as yours as it had a run-in with a few hail stones about a month ago.

Hey Chris!

Thanks for the "welcome to FZJ80 sub-club of Tornado Alley Cruisers". ;)
Yeah I wish I could make it to Asher's, but was just too busy with too many things.
... among of them buying that LX450.
I hope I will be done with major mods before "Flat And Nasty..." run, but anyway I'm planning to come.

As for hail... well I've heard about people using "hail damage insurance check" to finance their new mods...

Started lobbying the wife tonight on the Flat Nasty run. We'll see how good my sales skills are :)

It helps that we've talked about retiring to the MO Ozarks. Maybe we can combine it with a land scouting trip.

Good thinking
... and I will be able to thank you properly

Congrats... enjoy the new 80...

Well I dropped Sebastian off at the Lexus dealership and he looked pleased with his purchase. I looked pleased with his purchase. So if you see a silver Lexus 450 with dual lookin exhaust, heading North from Houston to Kansas City, driver wearing a black t shirt and a big ol s*** eatin grin, give him a wave cause that's Sebastian.
