I wouldn't consider slightly more room as "beefed up" and don't see any additional luxury. Being another 4R Trim seems much more accurate

This chassis is extremely beefy. 200 series beef. The 6th gen shares it but it’s way heavier than early 4Runners.

I couldn't disagree more. It is an obvious difference. A buddy who has a 4Runner stuck his head in my 250 and said, "wow, it really is bigger than my 4Runner."

Key fob. I've had several vehicles that have used the key fob, but the key fob for every one of those had a little bit of heft to it.

This one is just way too light, which is ironic because it's also comparatively large.

The number one cause of worn out keys and ignition lock cylinders is heavy key rings (and fobs).
As the vehicle is driving, the weight of the keyring vibrates the key inside the lock, slowly but surely wearing it down. Grinding it down.
Sure — it may take 150,000 thousand miles to do it, but a heavy keyring most certainly will.
Happened to all my vehicles and all had heavy keyrings

There's no ignition lock cylinder. It's "keyless." It sits in your pocket.

I guess it's just a perception thing. The key doesn't really feel special at all - not really even just "special," but of any significance. It's so light it's hard to tell you have it in your pocket. I'm worried I may bump my leg into something and break it. I go mountain biking quite a bit and have to take a key with me. This key has me worried that if I wreck I'll shatter the key.

Look at the key fobs for some luxury cars, and you'll see what I mean. A good part of them are made of metal, or in the case of Aston Martin, crystal. I'm not saying a Toyota keyfob should be that, but I am saying that luxury manufacturers devote a ton of thought to customer experience, and a keyfob that feels significant is one of those things. It would cost hardly anything, so it's not a luxury car vs. non-luxury car thing.

And, at the same time, the Toyota keyfob is the largest I've ever had. Which is wild because it just has a lock, unlock, and panic button.

Again, extremely minor quibble, and nothing I really care all that much about. But it's interesting.

Was more talking about the 250 vs 6th. Gen 4R.

300 ish miles today. Through the Smokies. Rarely got over 70.

21.5 mpg. Very impressive. Corners great. Powerplant is great. Super responsive.

Steering is very good.

No new gripes today.

It seems that there is very little (if any) feedback from LC250 owners in regards to how well this vehicle crawls and climbs short steep hills — compared to older Landcruisers.
Maybe i just haven’t seen the comments, and more likely, people don’t want to take their brand new LC into the dirt, which is understandable

All the car-review youtoobers thought they were clever when they remarked how the side trim panels in the rear of the 250 still had "cupholders," when the 250 does not have third-row seats in the American market.

Those clowns clearly didn't know that these aren't cupholders at all, but rather a very handy carrying spot for my O-Light Marauder hand cannon.

It lacks storage space. The cool box is a novelty I will rarely use and from a storage standpoint it is underwhelming. Toyota should have done a two part console where just the lid can be opened to reveal a shallow tray for pens, tire pressure gauge, checkbook, brass knuckles, etc.
I agree with this 100%. My previous daily driver was a 2018 200 series and I am not sure I ever used the cool box (as a cool box). It has always (and still is) used as storage (flashlights, knife, misc. crap, etc). I loved the two part console lid and miss it in my 250. I need a place for business cards, pens, etc. There is no good storage place for those things. I am hoping someone makes a tray for the cool box soon, like they have for the 200 series.
In addition, the cup holders are just a little too small for my Yeti water bottle (the smaller 26oz one) which I use every day.
I also miss the two flaps for the sun visors. I always kept stuff tucked above the smaller flap.

I love the coolbox. I always have a couple bottles of water in there. It is particularly awesome on a road trip — I just put a case of water bottles in the back and use that to replenish the coolbox. I never have to deal with a cooler and ice (or cold packs). I never have to stop to buy a cold drink. I always have cold water right at hand.

Agree.

wait, you still have business cards?

Get a quality molle panel gizmo for your visors. You can keep 20 pens, a lifetime supply of business cards (which would be one for me), your reg and insurance cards, a lightweight knife and/or flashlight, whatever. I've done this for a decade and have no issues with visors sagging, getting my eyes poked out etc.

Got our Black first edition last Saturday. Autonation Austin received 4 additional than what was allocated, did not see any hold for these ones in their tool at the dealership. Dealer wanted 5k markup which we flatly refused and were walking out. Eventually they agreed for MSRP...had them removed some protection stuff from the dealership. Unfortunately the distributor add-ons were not removable.
I have owned the gx 460 for 4 years and currently drive a lx570, the LC is for the Mrs.
The good.
1) Interior quality is nice...unlike Toyota more on the Lexus side....feels like the gx550 has actually gone a step down in material quality they use and now match the land cruiser.
2) Mileage, finally hitting 20s
3) Nice screen and layout. Music system is ok
4) Driver side Wind noise...feels.like there is a gap in the seal.
The not so good:
1) No hood flutter with high winds...but in a touch less car wash blower the middle section of the hood caved in and popped out...definitely not going in touch less car washes with this. In comparison , the 570 hood is rock solid.
2) the drivetrain feels unrefined for a lack of better word...the 570 and 460 are buttery smooth. Maybe it's the hybrid system but feels more like a RAV4 engine..
3)Feels less planted compared to the 570... The AHC on the 570 really makes a diff. The modes really don't change much.
Will put on some more miles and see how it goes....overall after testing the gx550.....feels similar. It would have been better to call it the Land Cruiser Prado...this is not a Land Cruiser 300 or 200 replacement!!

Has anyone priced out getting PPF installed all over the sides of their 250 series?

I had the Toyota stuff installed as a port option on the front of mine (I didn't have much of a say in it), but it does not cover nearly as much as I'd like. I've got one estimate for $3700 for X-pel all over the sides and the hood of mine. Seems decent compared to what I've read online, but not sure what prices anyone else has seen.

I've heard close to 6-8k to fully cover an LX600 with some better quality PPF. I'm probably getting mine coated as well.

Ditto....with partial hood , flares, the colored bumper parts, mirrors, door edge and door handle cups. 1500$ xpel and 799 for the xpel XR plus r all glass and the windshield

Is there an easy way to have the trip odometer show where the main odometer is? I can only find a way to put the trip 1 and trip 2 odometers where the fuel economy, i-force turbo\max gauges go.
