I wanted to get Iron Man 4x4 to wrap it in their logo and help me out with the build, but I haven't lined that up yet :)

I know it's late but are there any spots left on this trip?

Sure are. We currently only have one person paid except for me. Would you like to go? We are thinking of staying on the trail for two straight days, or we can come back to camp where there are flushers and running water. Right now it is up to those on the trip. What would you want to do?

I'd really like to go, especially if this was a trip the whole family could go on. If the girls come would they be able to hang around the campsite during the day while everyone was out on the trail? Theyre into hiking etc and it looks to me like there is lots of things like that to do around there.

Plenty of hiking and other activities in the area. Lynn at Crawfords Campground could tell you some good places to go. Your girls would need to be able to drive though.

The idea of staying on the trails at night was floated for some other members but was never confirmed - so if you want to confirm and pay for your spot at Snowbird then we will stick with the original plan of wheeling at Snowbird and camping at Crawfords at night.

Can you call me tomorrow at 864-280-4238?

Thanks!

That sounds great! I'll talk to everybody and definately give you a call tomorrow. Any time that would be best?

Alright thanks!

Not sure if my pm went through but I can't make it this year

what is the body and truck count like for this?
maybe I am just dreaming...

no dinero, no running rig=no trip:crybaby:

I think alot of people in the club have alot going on right now. I know i do!

Yeah, we're not going to make this now. Having to swap out new exhaust manifolds (w/catalytic converters) has put a serious crimp on travel funds. Also found out today that I have a cracked tooth which will need either a crown ($1000) or root canal ($$$$!!) Not looking forward to spending money for enduring pain.

Currently everyone who has expressed interest hasn't been able to make it. No worries about that - but if no one can make it we will just postpone this event until a future date. I remember OTMT about 5 years ago (the year Heather thought a bear was going to take her away) we must have had 30-40 people show up and even the Toyota Trail Team... :frown:

Yes, that was a great OTMT and one of my first events as a UC BOD member. Actually, it was about 40 trucks and about 60 people.

It's the cats on my FJC that need replacing. I've got to pass emissions next month and I've been throwing P0420/P0430 (catalytic inefficiency right/left bank) codes since earlier this spring. At first I thought I had it fixed when I replaced the O2 sensors ($100 each), but the codes kept popping up with increasing frequency. Now they come on every 30 miles or so which makes it impossible to pass the "readiness" test at the emissions center. The primary cats on the FJC are integrated into the exhaust manifold. No one makes a direct bolt on replacement other than Toyota. If I go aftermarket, then I'm skyrocketing my costs with JBA headers and Magnaflow cats.

Sounds like you just need to go with a solid front axle and call it done. :grinpimp:

I like how you think. I am going there once 13k hits the toy budget....not likely anytime soon.

Trust me - if you were in my head you would be :bang::bang::bang:.

I thought about a solid front axle but the cost to do it like I'd want to on the FJC was too high. Instead a Total Chaos 2" long travel front, plus a MetalTech long travel rear set up is on the way for the FJC. Woot!!!!
