I found race air duct on eBay I'm going to use. I haven't done it yet, but it's on the list.

Rust cleaned and POR applied. No holes through thank the Lord! Waiting on glass guy now. I'm not putting back the chrome and I'm not sure yet how I'll create a clean finish yet, but it's not important right now.

What did you cut with?
Blow torch...JK. Started with grinder and realized that was heating the metal to much, so did it with a jig saw and worked perfect!

Ok so the vents made a huge difference. 75% I can now hold my hand on, but above the exhaust is still super hot. What's the solution? Ceramic coated headers? I'm not excited to spend that kind of money. Advice?

I find it very hard to believe this dinky little louvers made an appreciable difference in the amount of heat under your hood. Placebo effect maybe? :hmm:

Hot exhaust sometimes means running lean.

Well not sure how to check if I'm running lean. LOL...I guarantee it made a big difference. I am the last person to say something works if it doesn't, but I can see why your skeptical.

Guess I could block them off, and shot my heat laser at the hood and vise versa to compare.
