I have power mirrors on my 87... no idea why that's the only power option on the truck. Anyway when I would be driving the mirrors would not stop vibrating, and the power option didn't work anyway so I urethaned the motors up solid and reclipped on the mirror glass... much nicer and doesn't make me seasick while driving haha.

:D

It looks great!!

^^^ Thanks!

Ok so I need help making a decision. We still have the white 4R. I'm wanting take several misc parts off it. Then cut the front clip off (there's damage on the front of our black one) and the rear passenger quarter panel. Also hood, passenger fender and tail gate (maybe doors too).

Question is do I scrap the rest or would someone actually buy the rest for $500ish? Thanks for your thoughts.

I would part it out, but I don't have the time or space to do that unfortunately. There are a few parts I'll pull off to sell (panels, switches, console, etc.).

What would be "simple" stuff I could pull off to sell?

Be careful, you should sell both the dash pad and the cluster bezel together, they are a matched set and are not universal from '84 to '89. An '84 dash pad will not fit the same profile as the '88 cluster bezel, for instance. There was a big change somewhere in '86 I think.

I believe the dash has some cracking. I was going to pull the inclinometer stuff and gauges. Was also thinking of pulling the computer for a spare, do they interchange? Keep in mind both my 4rs are 87.

Ordered this to go on the fenders so I can remove the doors and still have mirrors.

I need some help please. We are selling everything we don't need to take to Honduras when we move and I have my dads old set of wrenches and sockets. I want to put a separate set together for the 4R for field repairs. What sizes would you keep in your rig (wrenches & sockets)??? I'll pull those out and sell the rest. Thanks for the help!!!

I agree. Pull out all/most of the SAE, but I'd keep a 1/4, 3/8, 1/2, 5/8, 9/16 socket on hand just in case (but then again my tool bag weighs about 50 pounds with multiples of everything)

I have not changed them to hex head. Is like the trail tools to be limited to the bare minimum to keep weight down. Thanks all!
