Air pump is still installed in engine bay. Don't know what an emissions controller or vsv looks like.California exhaust manifold (thermal reactor).Any cracks? It could be worth money to somebody in CA.
Don't see an air pump, emissions controller, or VSV.
You need an emissions controller, a VSV, and certain other components to control EGR and air injection. I don't recall the exact conditions without referring to the manual, but EGR for example only feeds exhaust to the engine when it's warmed-up and somewhere above idle. Air injection does not inject air into the exhaust ports during deceleration. Without the emissions controls, you have no way to control the EGR and AI and you'll have issues. I think you're probably best off solving your vacuum leak with the setup you have now, unless you have to pass emissions testing with stock components.
The intake and exhaust manifolds you can run. The thermal reactor on the truck I bought new cracked all to hell after about 15 years and I tossed it into the recycle bin. I changed over to a Federal exhaust manifold.
Have the vsv. Picture attached. Probably have the emissions controller. I'll check tomorrow. Question still exists, can I use the exhaust manifold and just not use all the emissions components. And if so, can I just plug ports to bypass the emissions stuff that u wouldn't install for now. I would eventually like to take this truck to where it was at factory. This truck is a try original. No rust. Never painted or cut.The emissions controller is a black box that is probably still in the corner of the DS footwell by your clutch foot.
This is a previous photo of a vacuum switching valve on the DS fender in the engine bay. Black box with all of the hoses. You can see the hoses hooked up to the EGR control valve and the air injection by-pass valve (two parts shown in your photo).

Thanks for that. I knew about the fuel line thing. Po cut the lines to install holly and crimped return line.Intake and exhaust manifolds you can use. They might need repair. If you have all of the emissions stuff and it all works, you can run all of it.
Those compression fittings in your fuel lines are not stock, but you can still get olives and nuts and make new lines.![]()
