So I figured out a plan. I’m gonna put the little Bluetooth speaker up there and when I hear them scratching I’ll hit play On a screech owl sound effect.

End of the IMSA race on Saturday.
Ford GT in second place, goes into last turn, pushes on the gas and slows down, corvette rear ends it and puts it in the wall. Supposedly got the gas calculation wrong. It was exciting up until then. @lt1fire Porsche won (barely)

I would like to go see that one day.The long beach Grand Prix is such a great day. Not just the main race but all the side events and event halls around it.
That was the one thing I did every year for 5 years before moving.
Just missed that calculation... lmao
wonder how much it'll go for?

2000 Toyota 4Runner FULL RESTORATION | eBay
I would like to go see that one day.
I don't think "we are there yet" my friends. And . .I feel slimy after reading that.
I guess it will go for $17K+ if it is perfect . . best guess. I mean it is green - worst color . . .LOL.
Most of what you say is true (though I disagree with the "pretty" thing and the "not a great off-road car" thing), but I LOVED my 2nd Gen. Still an all-time favorite vehicle for me. That said, as a lover of this car in this color, I can't imagine a "full" restoration (even if it's really just all cosmetic) being in any way economical yet. You're right. I don't think we're there yet either. Guys in their 40s/50s need to remember the car from their childhoods first. Until we get to that point, it's not a classic. It's just a used car.I mean they are great vehicles and all, but they don't inspire anything. They are a huge compromise vehicle.
Not a great road car
Not a great off-road car
Not a wonderful engine to drive
Not the greatest transmission - prone to over-heating
Radiator issues
Tight seating and low headroom
Not really "Pretty" in any way.
I mean - - blah - so why waste all this time on it?
I'd rather have a 4K beater and get from point A to B and save the $20K for something more inspiring . . .
And I have owned a lot of them and their cousin the 1st Gen Tacoma . .so I feel like I can bash on it.
EDIT: All that said, at one time they were Consumer Reports #1 ranked car of all time for reliability. Pretty good for a 4WD vehicle.
Stayed at a hotel there once and from my room thought it was odd that there were all these perfectly spaced burnout marks visible on the road. I pulled up the course map and found that it was where pit row would be during the race (held a few weeks prior to my stay). It is a fun thing... Toyota sponsored it for 20 or so years, I think Acura sponsors it now. I went a few times with my Dad in the early 90's then a slew of times in the early to mid 2000's
Here are a few old toyota ads for it.

I love a Green 2nd Gen! What are you talking about worst color? Oh well, beauty in the eye and all that....
