Nice!

Up there I think the snow load will collapse a roof?

So my eldest had some time today and installed the Pertronix. Got spark right away, got gas, and eventually got it to run, briefly. As soon as i came off the high revs it died and wouldnt restart. I dont know what the po did to the distributor assembly, but am thinking i have a timing issue. Been a few years since i messed with 2f timing/advance, but i think we'll take some time on that tomorrow, and run a bit of carb cleaner through.

For now, here's a loud barely running 2f :)

Trouble shooting, would welcome advice.. at verified tdc the rotor was at about 7:00, pulled, realigned to point at #1 wire, no start. Rotated dizzy back and forth, no luck.

Verified spark, verified bowl had gas, several attempts noted plugs were getting gas (they were wet). Pulling gas straight from jerry can.

Pulled all plugs to let dry out.

Will try a carb cleaner, new plugs and perhaps retry to set dizzy, maybe i am a tooth off (but i dont think so). Will also triple check that i am not 180 degrees off.

Could be that there were too many cooks under the hood on this, but the instructions were to:
Line up the bb,
Pull plug 1, insert screwdriver to validate top of run,
Pull dizzy,
Reinsert dizzy such that armature lands just before the #1 wire, roughly pointing to cyl 4
Frig with oil pump seating for a bit (two people one pushes down, the other cranking eventually got it to seat)
Tighten dizzy slightly
Wire up, crank, rotate head a bit to see if its just off
2x check spark at plugs, 2x check fuel in bowl, try a bit of direct fuel in carb, put too much in, see wet spark plugs, swear a bit, let it dry for a day :)

So i have been dark for a few months settling in and trying button up the place for winter. No progress on the pigs i am afraid as i am also trying to stow some cash away to build a shop.

Anyway, i have a question on doors, the tops of my obviously swapped fronts are rounded, but my frame is angled. I can source a set that has the vent window, but wondering about fit...

Anyone know the year over year progression on the doors? Blue pig is a 77.

Also, making a note for later here on tacozilla that is at sima... if i dont do a pip top, this looks like a pretty tight design.
