ya cant wait for pics of that!! lol btw were the bushings a pain to get out??

No, I sort of lucked out I think. Mine weren't too bad at all. I had piece of steel rod that I used as a tap to help me hammer on the shackle side and on the fixed side I used a prybar a fair bit (albeit carefully) against the pin on the inside of the hanger to try and draw the pin through. I also used a ton of PB penetrant, WD 40, grease and Silicone spray as well.

Other folks said that they had great results using a propane torch to simply melt the bushings out - don't see why that wouldn't work too... I'd just be real careful around the fuel tank and on the engine compartment... have a fire extinguisher handy when 5 years worth of power steering fluid, leak gaskets and brake fluid converge with a little open flame...

haha thats good I was just wondering because I did a lift on a tacoma and the bushing were Fubr'd and looks like my 60 dosent even have bushings lol

Yes, Fire may indeed be your friend on this one... check out the OME install with tips that I link to at the top - he used flame very effectively on his job.

sound good because looks like I lift is next on the list lol the the bolt holding the leafs to shackles have no bushing at all just metal on metal which is starting to bend the bolt kind of

...yeah, it's got me changing my mind about a roofrack... I think a rear swingout will be about it and nothing up top for the time being!

What is your overall height of the truck now? I am nervous about being able to get my truck into my 7' garage following 285/75/r16 and HD OME Deluxe lift? Sorry for old thread revival ... thanks for your tips.
