Hey where does everyone's oil pressure gauge read when idling and driving? Also, any ideas on what psi the readings equate to?

My mechanical gauge (pulls from the blocked port behind the passenger motor mount) reads around 6-8psi @ idle... depends on the day really.. and if I am low on oil, it will dip into the 5 range. I think the stock dummy light will engage at like 3/4psi. When I am cruising on the hwy, my gauge usually sits at around 60psi... this also depends on the RPM, which I don't have a tach.

Also, these are warm numbers.. cold is a whole different ball game.

I have a mechanical gauge same as above and I run 20W-50 oil.
Cold idle I run around 75-80 psi.
Warm idle around 10-15psi
Cruising down the hwy at 70mph (3K rpm) 35-40psi.

They all read low for some reason. Nothing to really worry about.

Mine reads up to 90 at about 2000rpm. Running Mobil 1 10W30, in '87 22r.
I will have to check at idle, but i remember about 20. But my engine is fairly new with only 170,000 miles.

Mine only goes down to about 20 @ idle, around 65 on the highway. Engine is freshly rebuilt, new bearings on the crank, new pistons, new cam. Amsoil 10W-30.
