Hi, I have a 93 HZJ73 with a 1HZ. I’m in the process of cleaning the engine bay and noticed this. I cleaned that area about 150 kilometres ago and now there is an oily mess. Any ideas what could be causing this? It runs great. Thanks

I'm going to assume the hose right above it has dry rotted and is leaking down onto it.

I would just replace the clamp with a decent quality one you can tighten with a socket. If that doesn't mitigate it, then replace the hose as well.

Thanks. I didn’t mess with the hose too much, I’m afraid I’ll break it and make it worse. It’s stiff, it’s too hard to see under where it is leaking. I just ordered a new one with clamps, hopefully that solves my problem.

I finally got around to doing it. I got the new parts a couple weeks ago. Was very easy to do, no tools needed. Took about 5 minutes. The old hose was cracked like was suggested was the likely case. Good as new.
