I have an after market turbo which I installed myself. Has run beautifully for the last 12 months. However when I wind the boost up to sat 16psi, oil seems to leak out of the boost T. This happened before and no after having the bottom end rebuilt. I thought it was just caused by worn rings/excessive blow by but I am still getting it with my rebuilt engine. Is it possible it's only because the new rings haven't bedded in yet? Or is there something wrong with this turbo? I've only clocked up 500km since engine rebuild and there seems to be a bit of blow by - enough to blow the cap off the oil filler.

Thoughts?

Sounds like a head gasket or a ring issue if you're pressurizing the the valve cover enough to blow the cap off.
