I hate chrome and wood grain. Slowly eliminating both. Used 3M 1080 wrap on the wood grain. I need some 24 inch wide sections to finish. It has a brushed look and I’m trying to keep the direction of the brush the same. My 12 inch wide role won’t do the door pieces or the passenger side dash trim. I painted the grill and the big chrome trim on the rear door the match the body color.

Mine looks better than the sport. Lol
It does! Did you wrap those pieces in place or pull them off to wrap them? Got a link for what wrap you used?

I pulled them all. 3M Wrap Here is the deal if you use the brushed, In order to keep it the same direction your going to need another sheet with the brush going the length of the sheet. The passenger side dash piece and the door panels are longer. Get that here. 3M Wrap with brush running length

Got around to getting power run to the cargo section. I run a Dometic fridge mostly but went ahead and installed a volt meter and USB power along with anderson plugs and a cig lighter port. I’m going to break down a purschase an Off Grid dual battery system. It’s pricey but I use my fridge a lot and I have always used a 2nd battery to run it.

This is my next project. I need more power to the back as well.

Really surprised that there is no 12V outlet back there. Even my lowly Jeep Liberty has one. This is better anyway. 10 gauge wire straight to a 2nd battery. The part I hate is out of the way. Pulling interior panels. BTW there is not much room for anything behind that right side rear quarter panel. I wanted a fused splitter that was accessible so that cubby on the left side worked perfectly I have some camping trips lined up this spring so I need to go ahead and get the other battery installed.

A cheaper option on the steering wheel is to leather wrap it in black to hide the brown. I just need to figure out how to make the rest of the wood grain disappear

More chrome gone. Lower window trim for a Prado I got from UAE. Not the easiest things to remove. It’s surprising how different just this small trim looks. Only chrome I have left are the rear door emblems.

Settled on a system for my 2nd battery. Looked at the complete system from Off- Grid Engineering but some if the components I did not want, so I ordered their passenger side tray and I'm going to use a DC to DC charger. I ordered a dual input Redarc DC charger that has a MPPT solar charger. I was going to use a Victron solar controller with an isolator but the Redarc will do everything and simplify installation. I have a portable Renogy panel a carry camping to keep my fridge battery charged.

Almost everything is in now so I started in the 2nd battery install. Got the carrier installed this afternoon. Still have not settled on a battery yet but used one to get a size. Going to have to use a group 35. Nothing else is going to fit.

Using a Redarc DC to DC charger. Still trying t find a good place to mount. I want to put it out of the engine bay possibly to the side of the radiator up front.

Here is the battery monitor I’m going to use. Looks like it will mount where the ashtray is with a lilttle bit of trimming.

Got the Redarc charger mounted and cables run. Had to put the charger in the engine bay. Just no room anywhere else. I bought a pack of copper terminal ends and now I can’t find them. Going to get another package and go ahead and order my battery.
