Due to a deadly combination of alcohol and eBay, I have 2 cruisers arriving from Australia within the next month. I had to invest some cash in my business so I need to sell one of them and I cant decide which. Whichever one sells first, I'll keep the other.

1980 BJ42 Diesel. White paint. 3B. 4 speed. Very good condition. long range 2nd tank. Only rust is the usual spot on the lower headlight bib. A "real corker" as they say. needs drivers side seat upholstery.

1984 FJ45 Troopy. Sand color paint. 2F, Factory disc brakes. Factory Power steering. Has dent on the rear left curved window. Have replacement glass. Should be easy to fix dent.....more time than anything. Body very straight. Seats in good shape with one row of rear jump seats.

Going to clean them up and list them for $12k each. Would rather sell locally if possible.

Body seems clean. I'm sure you could get it for less. At least double your money in parts. I'd be buying it if my shop was as far along as Jay's. One mans trash...

I will have a set of 4 Goodyear Duratracs and 1 brand new nitto terra grappler for sale (after dismount) in the next couple weeks. All are 315/75/16
Duratracs are 85-90%. Approx. 6k miles. Good shape. Even wear. No leaks, plugs , etc. One tire has a tiny sidewall "chunk". About 1" long. Happened on one of my first time's out on a trail when they where new. The grappler is brand new/never seen pavement. Looking to get $850

My silver lining? Well sure you could throw another 3FE in there or a 1HZ-T or a 350 or hell a 1F if you really wanted to. Because of my limited bankroll I try to turn something that has lived it's life into other lives and some cruiser cash. A lot of people need several pieces off certain vehicles but don't have the room or means to do so. Why not help em out? I wouldn't part a restorable 4x series, 55's that could be saved, etc. (hence the LV still hangin out) but an 80 with good useable parts, a blown motor and throw in some frame rot at a good price? Sure! 6x series with 250k+ and frames rotted to s***? Yep! Way better than seeing them be crushed at a scrapyard.
On that truck, I need the hood, I'd switch grilles, valence, etc., use the rims, tires, pass seat, visors, prob other stuff too. Then I'd part the rest to supply cruiser heads parts they need at reasonable prices.

You buy all the parts you need new through Mr. T? I'd be broke!

you want to think that 91 80 series is worth 1800.00 with a blown engine and a salvage title by all means go for it. But to promote the idea to others that it's easily worth that in parts, I don't see it. Hell, you can make the argument that a brand new 200 series is worth more in parts than it costs new. Why not start parting those out?

Josh I met a guy from my local Toyota dealership looking for a lift if you are looking to sell.

That trailer has been on CL for a while. Off and on. The fact that the picture isn't actual seems fishy though the description seems legit. The good ones seem to sell fast so I wonder what's up with this one. I sent him a text with a handful of questions about which model he actually has (the pic is an m101a2 with a surge brake). Didn't hear back. Would be nice to have one close. I've been looking for a 3/4 ton. I'll call him and see what's up.

I am looking for a Saginaw mounting plate for an fj40, anyone got one or know where a good place to get them?

thanks,

^Iron pig.

Iron Pig is big on the 60 boxes.
Pretty sure they don't make one for the saginaw.
I really think the 60 box is a nice solution it's tucked out of the way.

Kurt from Cruiser Outfitter's has one for $85 which seems pretty affordable.
