Was able to gain entry into the Dupy HAL 9000...they'll probably snuff me out again  but here ya go John.

Todd,

Would you be able to list the ingredients for my 1974 Pig w/ Nebula Green (622) and Cygnus White (012)?

Thanks!

Any chance Breath Green was used on Pigs, even though it does not show up on some of the grids?

To me, this spray out of Breath Green looks like what is on my Pig:

A fellow Mudder (Propilot) agreed to share some Toyota green sprayouts with me, and I thought I would return the favor by posting them in the "official" color code thread. These pictures were taken in full sunlight and are slightly washed out; in reality they are just a touch darker (at least darker than they show up on my monitor). But since dark colors always seem lighter when sprayed over a large area, this is probably a good indication of what a vehicle painted in these colors would look like.

Left to right they are:
Greyish Olive (6H9)
Fashion Green (T303)
Breath Green (T1654)

FWIW, Fashion and Breath Green seem to be different shades of the same basic color (hue?). If you had two vehicles painted in these colors I bet they would be hard to tell apart unless parked next to each other. Rustic Green, Fashion Green and 6H9 seem to be about the same shade, but with pregressively stronger olive tints. Breath Green is alot closer to Nebula Green that I thought it would be.

Any idea what colors mine is supposed to be?I assume its not an original color combo. I think its a 72 but have not got it home yet(or the title for that matter)

Usually you can tell the original color from inside the gas cap or in the door jambs. Spots always get missed by painters. Found my original green on a speck inside my old rocker panels

The color is there (inside gas door), it just does not truly match a spray out I have for Nebula Green or Fashion Green. It is kind of in between...

36 years of oxidation will change the color dramatically. If you have an area big enough, use some rubbing compound and elbow grease on it to rejuvenate the original color back to near original.

Pretty sure it's base coat/clear coat...do you need the single stage formula ? I do believe that is what the "B" stands for right underneath where it says "Coat".

I was looking for 2 stage (base/clear), no need for single stage formula.

Anyway to confirm it for sure the 2 stage formula?

Thanks!

TJ....at this point and to be certain, I'd go here Locator | DuPont Performance Coatings - appp20.asp.dupont.com and find the nearest Supplier. With the color code and stock code from above in hand and ask them if the can mix it in say a 2 stage poly urethane like Imron Elite or I think they have a lesser expensive Chroma series paints. I'm not good remembering the Dupont line...Centari I think is the single stage stuff. Anyway, call the nearest supplier and talk to them...they are the ones that will be doing the mixing ultimately.

Good luck

Even though the Dupy mothership is just down the street from me here in SE PA...my local auto paint supplier is all PPG products...and when I get into some very serious all over work, I do that at my buddies shop out in Ohio and he mixes nothing but BASF. Hence I haven't kept up with Dupy's paint lines lately.

It appears you are getting dangerously close to squirting your piggie....post plenty o' pics.
