After thinking about it for a bit I’m thinking that I need to let go of the white 40 and clear up some space in the garage. Just posting it up in case someone is looking for one. I will post up more info when I get home next weekend but will be honest and say that I don’t know much about it since I just bought it a few weeks ago.

Added a correct top cover from eBay and on-off switch with wiring. Plug it in to 220v and you're good to go:

I also have a FJ40 that I am considering selling. I've got another project that I'd like to start on but I either finish (still need to start first) this one or sell it...

1967 which is in amazing shape (considering). Close to complete and stock (minus the very early Downey manual steering conversion and JT Outfitters front disc conversion). About as 'rust free' as you can get, this side of the Mississippi! Bring the patina to the party and watch the ladies swoon. The color is also guaranteed to brighten you're wife's/spouse's day! The good: very solid, close to complete and these oldies are just too cool!
The bad: does not currently run or have brake lines (soft or hard) on the axles. Driver's side door window glass currently busted/broke/all jacked up but I have a spare.

Items of note: I do not have a NC title for this vehicle. One can be fairly easily acquired for NC and I am available to assist (via a bonded title - adds an extra 100 bucs and some time to the normal titling process). The previous owner never titled the vehicle (6 years of ownership). I do have the title which was signed over to the previous owner by the previous owner.

Price: can be acquired one of two ways...
1. As is where is (could help deliver for a small fee) = $6,000.00 US dollars
2. Truck plus a literal s***-ton of parts = $12,500.00 US dollars. This is over $7,500 in parts (not including shipping)...do the math and you get the truck ~17% cheaper with option #2 (hint: use this logic when convincing your spouse of this purchase).

I have a 3FE and automatic trans coming out of a 1990 FJ62 in a little bit. It is running and driving now if you want to come and check either or both parts out. Trans was rebuilt about 5K miles ago.

We're in the process of making my 40 a somewhat daily driver for my soon-to-be driving son. Looking for two things to make that happen...
- a top (open to either a softtop or hardtop if somewhat local)
- front bucket driver seat. We've got the low back original but want to switch to something a bit more comfortable.
