It had just over 200,000 miles. At price was $8000ish. Looked fairly clean inside and out. I don’t think I have ever seen all black interior. but don’t know much about it. I can go by there and get the phone number for you if you like.
Bragg has the best POV "lemon lot" of any military base I've visited. A large joint population with frequent deployments and PCSs keep it stocked. Facebook Marketplace and Craigslist are not bad here either if you're looking for tactical/outdoor gear.
I've seen three LCs (two 80s and a 100) within the past six months. The previous post makes the fourth.
Yup, owned one back then, drove the crap out of it, was a perfect rig for me and my adventures in mountain bike racing and camping around the West Coast. Had no issues with mine, proudly had it adorned in Raider monikers being a childhood Raider fan, had to have a black Dodge Raider.
Yes a Montero is built off of the Pajero platform same as the Shogun. Still doesn't mean it was an actual pajero at one point. Only reason I questioned at the start was I thought maybe you saw something in the CL that pointed it to being an actual Pajero at one point that I couldn't see. We got plenty of two door monteros and raiders here. Pajeros strongest sales were in countries that are RHD. They didn't sell very well in Europe or China. Most of the rest of the world where they did sell strong they were called Monteros.
They are certainly neat looking vehicles. Not what I would call great. Neighbor had a 2 dr montero when I was in highschool. Couldn't keep up with the cherokees on the trail, had a small 4 cylinder and 5 speed. Got worse gas mileage than my friends 4 door 4runner with 5 speed and V6 and constantly needed the valves checked. But it was cool none the less due to it being a small 2 door 4x4 suv. But since that one now has a toyota badge it may have doubled its 4wd powers.
Anything that stands out to anyone that I should worry about? Looks like rear impact in 2014 and there was a bit of time before it was updated again after that.
The only thing I can think of would be to make sure there isn't any unreported water damage after the hurricanes they had down there. Looks nice though and that is a great deal, better than you can get around here from what I have seen.
I'm not close, but have a frame from a '70 that might work for you. I'm still learning the particulars of the 40s, but I think the motor is above the glass and inside.
If you can't find one locally, let me know and maybe we can work out a MUDship.

It was either light tan or white. But somebody painted it blue. Not planning to sell the doors or hatch. Going to try and mate the hard top and doors to the 78 we just got for winter driving.
