No way is it a 5speed.... because if it is the guy would know how rare that is and
A. bump up the price or
B. take the 5 speed out and sell by itself
He most likely bought it as a project.... lost interest, didn't have the title and decided to sell it..... seeing as though just about every toyota 4x4 from the 80's (not counting LC's) had 5speed printed on the body and a 5speed is a way for some people to just say stick shift he put that on the add.
Some of us had this exact conversation at the HAMOM

B. take the 5 speed out and sell by itself

and talk to the owner.... easily done "hey could you go out and manually count the gears as you go through them"

Yeah, ask Greg about a piggy that had a "surprise" H55F tranny - he found 5th gear existed on the ride home. I, on the other hand, will never have that kind of luck!

My garage has hit maximum capacity, so it's time to sell some stuff:
Fluid heat riser for a late 2F. Heat up your intake manifold with coolant to help with cold starts and fuel atomization after installing headers. Comes with remflex gasket and bolts to install. $20
Complete FZJ80 rear axle minus drums and third member. Axle shafts are in excellent shape. Was planning on keeping for installation into Moonshine, but this won't happen for years. I can take pictures of the axle shafts or spindles if you'd like. $200
Two steel wagon wheels. 15x10" with 3.5" backspacing. Need them gone or they get scrapped. $20.
FJ60 skidplate. Good condition. $20
Set of large pattern steering knuckles off of a FJ60. Comes with a set of steering arms, hubs ( no lockouts ), great condition backing plates and a set of shims to center on your axle. Perfect for converting your 40 series to large pattern knuckles. $150
Two fel-pro 2f manifold gaskets. These are supposed to be better then the factory gasket for sealing up headers. $10

The FJ62 is back up for sale. Want to hold onto it but a year deployment and the wife leaving the area it doesn't make sense to store it and all the funds are going towards purchasing her parents house and building up the FJ43. Hoping for 2K but expecting less. Can bring it up to Logans run is someone wants to buy it.
Also selling the V10 Touareg. Houses cost a lot of money and the FJ43 is tipping the 5 digit scale for stuff I still need to buy for it. Believe it or not my goal is to be down to 2 cars for at least the next couple of years. FJ43 being the primary every day driver and tower. Part of my admitting I have a problem and trying to save up to get out of the army in about 5 years.
