They actually sent me pics of the underneath. It was in the NE for a few to several years. Doesn’t look too bad underneath, but then they offered me $13,500 for my 2016 Denali truck and I almost puked. Sold my truck today though so I need to figure something out quick. They are also the ‘no haggle’ pricing. I gotta haggle!!

I went and drove this one about a month ago before landing in a 100. It’s still out front off Hwy 74 if anyone wanted to go take a look.They actually sent me pics of the underneath. Drove nice but AC was weak, rust underneath, paint in terrible condition, lots of bad scratches on interior trim, nav screen has yellowed out. But it’s been on their lot for 90+ days, so they may be willing to deal. When I saw it they had it at $28.9k. I personally have yet to find a 200 under $30k that was in acceptable condition.

Awesome, thanks for that info. They dropped it to $27,499. They sent me pics of underneath and while it didn’t look beyond repair it was something I would have had to compromise on for sure. They offered me $13,500 for my truck and I sold it for $30k.
I asked them what they’re like sell the Land Cruiser for and they said they are a ‘no haggle’ place.
I haven't personally seen any 200s under $30k that weren't nothern trucks already showing rust on the frame. Seems like it's hard to find a good higher mileage example for less than $36k+. But I suppose if your patient, seems like LC prices are on a slow decline. My buddy was searching for a 200 for months until finally
I think you're going to have to bring your budget up to $36-38k if your want a southern 200 series. My friend searched exhaustedly for a 200 for months. Every truck at $30k or below was a NE truck with signs of frame corrosion. He eventually picked up a nice 180k mile LX570 for $37k. The prices on 100s seem to be on a slight decline, but 200s seem to be holding pretty steady.Awesome, thanks for that info. They dropped it to $27,499. So you are saying if I find a tan in color LC 2010 with 164k for under $30k that was born and raised in Mississippi or Texas I should jump on it? Theoretically speaking.
So I’ve narrowed it down to that Land Cruiser or a 2015 GX460 Luxury. The LC will be in the $29s….the GX460 (113k) would be $26,500.
I also looked at GX460's, but over 100k their interiors tend to fall apart moreso than other Toyota/Lexus products in my experience. I imagine the LC will hold its value for longer…hopefully. I already lost my butt on my truck.

LCs are much bigger than the GX, and are also thirstier. So if you need the space and don't mind the milage, go with the LC.
I've had my GX (2015) for almost 2 years now and it's currently at 95k miles. I think it's wearing pretty well for its age, although the leather seats need some care, they don't seem to hold up as well as the 'nu-luxe' versions.

Thanks for the tips. Space is nice, particularly going camping and pulling a camper and having the dog in the back.
I only drive about 8 miles a day right now so gas isn’t as concerning.
My wife loves her 2020 GX but I would prefer something bigger, to tow the boat, haul dog and kid stuff, etc. Gas mileage isn’t horrible but isn't great either compared to say the GMC Yukon/Tahoe diesel. The nu-lux does wear great! Hers will be for sale June 2023 at the latest (lease is up in July). Currently has 16,500 miles.

I’m going to check out the 2010 LC on Tuesday. Seller is out of town until then. $29,500 and he said he is firm on that price.
I’ve considered an LX as well, but like the visuals of the LC better even though the Lx will likely be a little fancier and cheaper.

PARTING OUT
I’ve got a white ‘96 80-series (grey interior) I recently picked up for a 60-series frame swap project. Besides the frame and axles, I’m only planning on keeping a few other things for my other 80 (ABS stuff, gas tank & skid plate, DS door handle/armrest, maybe a front turn signal, some odds and ends). I’ll need to get the body and interior out of the way, so I’m parting it out. Engine is not running, but I don’t know why…however, it did turn over today so it’s at least not seized.
Body is in pretty good shape overall. Only rust I noted was in the bottom DS rear wheel arch just behind the rear door and a small signature rust streak from under the glass seal on the upper tailgate.
