Any coords for a good camp spot? How's the fishing on any of the forks of Swan River? I assume a stock Bronco on 35s will do ok on all the trails.

I don’t have any coordinates for camp sites but I did explain where I camped in my long-winded response to how long it took me. I did not do any fishing but what I assume are beaver ponds toward the bottom of the trail along the middle fork of the Swan looked promising. Re a bronco on 35’s, shouldn’t be a problem. Just be aware of the upper half of the mid fork trail, it gets rough near the start. You have a section that splits, and left is a bit easier but has a narrow part that maybe an issue for wider vehicles.

I have grown to like the slight poke of the wheel, but I wouldn’t might a slightly higher offset to bring the wheel/tire in with the fender.

I second that! I’m on 0 offset right now and I love the look but it’s not practical at all, especially if I’m planning on taking it through its paces.

I’m thinking of a +30 ideally

Or invest the cost and labor into 37s. At least that's been my strategy to avoid contact sports.

Until that time when chasing bigger rocks again and then it's 40s or skids.

Just saying armor is a mitigation for bigger rocks. But tires are what really enables playing in said rocks. Trail difficulty is often described by recommended tire size. Not whether as rig has armor or not.

My opinion but I would go 34/35s way before armor. With the exception of sliders and I would always recommend that.

Was looking for the “other cars” thread but couldn’t find it. So I’ll bury one S2K pic with some recent LX570 pics from my latest trip up in the mountains for the Toyo Tires Trailpass event

Something that I always wanted to do on my 100-series, and finally bit the bullet on my LX!

Installed the front, engine, transmission and t-case 1/4” raw aluminum BudBuilt under armor. Incredibly high quality product that was a install.

Slightly wider 225/45 and 255/40R17 Bridgestone Potenza RE-71R tires
Red painted wheels.
Air box cover removed so you can hear the intake more...because VTEC yo!.

Next to a colleague's monster truck.

And to keep on topic, loaded and ready for family camping trip. 3rd row seats removed. 4 bikes and cargo box on roof. Low mode to enable easier rooftop loading.

And if you have AHC, after the sliders (Slee) I found their accumulator protection plates real handy, preferably before your dingleberries get dinged too bad.
