Sold my lc200 a few months back on a whim and I have hated every minute since. On Monday, I flew out to SoCAl to snag this 2010 lx with 118k. It was a deal I couldn’t pass up. My previous truck had kings and I was a little weary of the AHC…

I love it! It’s as close to no compromise as one can come. Got home Wednesday, Thursday went to Slee and grabbed a few things. Yesterday pulled some chrome off the doors, some badges, chopped up the fenders and did a BMC.

Today, a quick trip Discount tire and 35s are on. They’re fat and luscious and I wouldn't have it any other way. Proper photos to come.

Welcome back. How do you like the 35s without a re-gear? What offset are your wheels and are you getting any rubbing?

Welcome back. How do you like the 35s without a re-gear? What offset are your wheels and are you getting any rubbing?
Thanks! +25 on the offset. 315/70/17 ATs. It’s a little tight fully stuffed but totally manageable if your willing to put the work in. +30-35 would be perfect. BMC lots of fender shaping. I’ll push it this weekend and see how bad the back hits fully stuffed with some speed. Fronts seem good at the moment.

Did they rub, yea… but I’m fine with that. The clearance gained is well worth it also anything major has been avoided with some work.

In regards to a regear. Sure it would be nice, I’m certain that will happen after the wheeling season and I can have some down time with the truck.

Ultimately, I think people over exaggerate a bit in the hit you take. Is it as fast and nimble? Is gas mileage retained…no but I signed up for it. And the 5.7 makes so much power higher in the rpms so depending how you drive it’s totally acceptable. People drive and enjoy much much worse.

Steps will be replaced with sliders by the weekend and I should be pretty much done for the season. I have some spacers laying around I may put on front and rear to give me a little more lift in neutral. High feels over sprung off-road with a stock weighted truck IMO. If I could wheel in neutral
Most of the time I would be very happy.

This looks great! I have 33's now and will be looking into 35s next time. I like that you didn't go extreme with the cutting / shaping. Did you have to do quite a bit in the front fender? Also, How did you de-chrome your window trim?

Realized I haven’t posted in a while but I’ve had a few chances to get outdoors.

Had a Saturday morning to kill while the wife and kids were busy in Sacramento so I ran Shirttail Canyon a little west of Foresthill. It was mostly easy dirt but the best part was crossing the American River over the Yankee Jim swinging bridge. Unfortunately none of my pics of the bridge turned out but there are plenty available online if you are interested. Otherwise just a beautiful spring day in the Sierra foothills:

Howdy, folks. Just a new member posting pics of my 1st LC/LX, a 2008 LX570 w/ 140k mls I picked up last summer. Included a few from the day I bought it and 3 as of today after finished latest modifications to the lighting. Since purchased I've had the following replaced/done, all OE parts unless stated otherwise: secondary air intake pumps and valves both sides, rear liftgate motor actuator, hydraulic shocks and accumulators, swapped original 140k mls rear axle for salvaged 64k mls, all rotors & pads, front calipers, front brake dust covers, OE carpet floor mats, rear mudguards, battery, relay wires for passenger courtesy lights, glove box door, mylar ceramic tint, Fuel Covert D696 18x9's, Michelin Defender LTX M/S 275/65/18's, aftermarket yellow fog lights, Hikari UltraFocus Prime ZES H11 LED's for Low Beam projectors and Fog's. Still ToDo: Remediate some remaining rust on the frame, fill in some paint chips on the hood and front facia, Full chrome delete + bronze paint graphite grill offset, paint luggage rack rails black, enjoy the hell out of it.

You won't regret the LTX. Very practical setup.

^ Love that stance with the 20s - looks great.

Hi everyone, I'm new here and this is my first post. Picked up this LX back in November from the original owner and it's still under warranty! 2013 with every option except park assist. Maintenance records since day 1 and always dealer maintained. She had the Lexus extended warranty and then bought an aftermarket bumper-to-bumper good until 200K! It's been immaculately maintained and I'd like to think I got a pretty good deal all things considered with the market.

Bone stock save for some tint I threw on a few weeks back. I also recently picked up some 18" BBS TRD Pro wheels but am undecided if I want to keep them. I don't know how big of a fan I am of black on black....

Anyways, this place seems a great resource. I'm pretty shocked how active it is here. I haven't been on car forums since my old Nissan 240sx days 10+ years ago. Great to see that there's a community around these vehicles and a good group of owners. Cheers from AZ!

welcome to the club!
A lot of us have BBS and have been looking to get matching spares. You wont have any problem selling those things ;)

Here's some black on black inspiration:

Black on black isn't really my thing either. You could always have them repainted. This is from a recent classified ad on MUD and looks fantastic, IMO:

Not an LX, and not black, but you get the idea.

Nice. How is setup and fold up so far? Are you able to get a sense of long term quality and potential points of weakness?

This is my first awning so keep that in mind with my answers...
Setup is VERY easy. That was the main reason I chose this model over a regular roll-out awning.
Fold-up did take me a minute to figure out. You have to fold one side in before the other and at first it seemed like the aluminum arms were going to rip into the awning fabric but after I got it figured out... no sweat. I don't see any issues in the future. The bag is also a bit oversized so you can throw the accessories in the bag too.
I don't know about long term quality b/c I just don't have anything to compare it to. It does seem very well built and all of the seams in the awning are tight, nothing looks to be off so QC seems to be on point.

I will say I'll probably use the two legs most of the time, even tho I don't need to. The awning stands on it's own just fine but with the legs deployed it's SOLID. And it's just another 5 seconds to deploy the legs so why not? I've got a trip planned in two weeks and the awning should get a lot of use so I'll have more to report after 👍

Thoughts on this?
Apparently prinsu doesn’t recommend unsupported awnings because the side rails are so thin 🤷🏻‍♂️
