Let's go man!!! I already put it on my calendar. I am 100% in, barring death or divorce.

Haha if my wife doesn’t want to join me with the baby I might just ask her to stay at my in-laws place for the week. Other than the baby situation I don’t have any excuse. But she’ll be 15 months by then…I feel like it’ll be possible to just bring her. Are you thinking of going solo or bringing along the wife and kids?

I'm liking this! Going to do some pitching to the other half and scribbling in my calendar tonight.

I'll join the caravan on the way through Vegas.

Got a tentative okay from the better half but it will have to be myself with my 2 tweenage kids as she has a hard conflict. Looking at the schedule, I may not have much flexibility to extend the trip beyond the core LCDC week. Thanks though @linuxgod !

I'll be coming outa NJ, so anyone coming off the bEast coast, im up for a caravan. I usually make it an adventure, there's a lot to see and I'm trying to see it. Worlds largest mailbox, key and windchime, Golden Spike Tower, geographic center of the US, all checked. lets see what else is out there....I make the most of the 2,050 some odd miles.

Looks like a lot of new folks interested, which is excellent. Please keep in mind when we announce registration it typically sells out in a few minutes. We will add people to the waitlist once we sell out and a few of those are released as folks cancel. We usually have over 50 on the waitlist.

Definitely not how we envisioned but unfortunately due to permitting and insurance we have to limit capacity.

Its always been a 200 series thing. I've seen a heep I mean jeep once because owners sold 200 after securing spot and this past year was a Yota truck due to mechanical issues on 200.

We took our 3 month old camping at Sequoia! It was fun. With 4 of my friends, we did a solo guys trip to Moab last year, it was awesome. With the LC my wife/kids may want to come last minute. It will be fun to bring the fam.

I am really looking forward to meeting lots of the people I have read on the site for years.

There is dispersed camping, a handful of small hotels/motels, vacation rentals and campgrounds. I think most people reserve something that they can cancel if plans change or they don't get a spot. I would recommend booking something that you can cancel as soon as possible.

Yeah Ouray is best. Ridgway is probably the next best option, though not as quaint as Ouray. Telluride is also an option but if your trail run starts on the Ouray side of the mountain or is Alpine Loop area then you will have a 60 to 90 minute drive in the morning just to meet up before the trail. Staying in Durango would mean just under 2 hours to Ouray and thats assuming no delays on 550. Not sure what options are around Silverton, but that would be in play as well.

I would focus on Ouray or as close as possible off of 550 heading up to Ridgway.

This would be a nice stop on our way home from the Dempster Highway next summer! Will try to get registered!
