Anybody know what paint codes this restored 1967 xx45LV might be wearing? It was listed on CL and the listing expired so I have no contact information.

My 69 shot in Pollux Orange.
Sorry if this has previously been discussed, but what color is the one to our right (the lighter color)

I believe that color is patented and unobtainable, however I found a very similar flat color at HRF 233 - Desert Tan

Hi Todd,
If you'll have spare time while at your buddy's shop, then getting modern updated codes for Ivory Shell, plus modern codes for the paint colors in the chart in post #318 (I would love sulfur yellow for a future rig), and #362...1276 Sundune White would actually be the stock color of my rig...but can not find a modern working code...well that would be really cool if you can manage

Well, those colors from the late 60's will be a challenge...but I will give them a run when I get out there. On occaision, we have had to call in to BASF. The good news since he is a high volume shop/user he gets good service. If they still make them, I'll get the codes and formulas. Shooting to be out there end of the month-ish.
This would be really cool of you...and I am pretty darn sure that there are a lot of people here on mud that would appreciate new workable formulas as well...good cruiser karma for you![]()
I am back from the shop and did some digging and as fate would have it a BASF rep came in one day to go through his tinting base stocks on the mixing system. First the depressing news, talking with the rep, he said that many of the older colors will not be formulated in Onyx HD (BASF water base) as there just isn't the demand so the econiomics don't play out for them to do the necessary work on them. However, I can still get formulas for some of the older colors in some of the other BASF paint lines (Diamont, Glasurit, Limco). I did some initial searching and some of the colors from the old chart popped right up in his puter. For the ones that don't, the rep gave me an 800 tech line number wherein a tech rep can look up codes and formulas and fax info to me. We actually had to try the number out as his puter (been updated by BASF to water base Onyx HD paint lines) no longer had the formula for my daughters 89 wagon in Diamont paint line. 800 line worked great within 5 mins the fax machine spit out the Diamont formula for 3F4. I'll be headed back to the shop ~ May 14 and will compile what I can (the easier ones) and post up what I can find in any of the BASF paint lines. The tough ones will have to be called in and at the advice of the rep, I will do it a couple at a time ...over a period of time.
