I turned north to North Carolina and picked up another trail in the Pisgah National Forest

The low was 21* outside. I decided not be outside. Day 3 done.

3 days ….. 4 sentences.

Day 4.
Smelling like Irish Spring I head back and pickup the trail where I left off. South bound now I’m in the Smoky National Forest where I spot a Black Bear and a few Elk.

Continuing south west I rolled through Gatlinburg TN

Enough said about that…..

From here I picked up the parkway running south through the Smoky National Park. From this point I rolled some great paved roads past the Nantahala Outdoor Center and home.

Fantastic solo trip. 1400 mile round trip & punctuated by a 602 mile run home for Turkey Day. Ole Smokey (smoke no mo) is running strong .
