Why is everyone having a fit over a couple of condoms being placed on his rig?? If they were used, that's one thing. But it looked like a harmless prank to me.......we will not be having that kind of drama over here. 
Ok, half a year or so ago I lost my pal Fifa, and my wife and kids have been in Florida for a couple of days with her side of the family. Long story short I went to the pound and pickup Smarty. A man needs a friend....

I'm just hoping the going out to the yard to do his thing goes well, any suggestions. We have a fencd yard and he will have access at will to either the house or the yard. Wonder if I should keep him in the cage over night until I feel he rwalises what to do. 6 months old

At 6 month he should be pretty used to going to the bathroom outside, but Roux had "accidents" every once and a while until she was 1.
Crate training does help some when house training them. The one thing that i found was effective for Roux when she was a pup was taking her outside every 30 minutes or so into the grass to pee/poop. This was she associated grass with the bathroom (and not carpet or tile floors).
