if he can't remember it now, what will he be able to remember when he is my age ?

if he can't remember it now, what will he be able to remember when he is my age ?

He can't remember anything now because.......well, maybe I shouldn't say in an open forum. But by the time he is your age, he will be kept alive by a machine because his brain won't know how to do even that task.

so, I sold the rear bench in my 40 the other day - the cargo area of my 40 is covered by a tarp that's folded around a bungee cord strung behind the front bench/seat and held down in the back with bungee cords down the tub on the corners and to the spare tire carrier in the middle - also, I have ratchet straps criss-crossed above it to keep stuff in and keep the tarp from bellowing at speed

with the bench gone, the wind dynamics apparently have changed  so, as I am driving home from the trail in Arizona today on the highway at about 65 mph, my windbreaker that I had rolled up and stuffed under the tarp works itself loose in a windgust and flies onto the highway behind me in dense traffic   so, I pull over to the shoulder, stop, and see the jacket at least a half mile back - so I back up on the shoulder . . . meanwhile, cars and trucks whisk the jacket around, and it eventually travels ahead of me into the median - so I pull forward, get out of the truck, takes me a while to find an opening in traffic - I walk over, pick up the jacket, eventually find another hole in traffic and get back to the truck

that yellow jacket stayed amazingly clean even through several drive-overs and at least two undercarriage whirls :flamingo:

moral of the story: make sure your s*** is secure

It's funny you would bring that up. As I was getting in and out of FJC's a couple weekends ago at Hawk Pride, I was amazed at the amount of gear that just floats around the back of some of their rigs. So, when I was mounting the ammo cans in the back of the 40 behind the bench seat, I wanted to make sure they were secure. And I am probably going to pull the bench out of mine soon but I plan to build a box / cage for the cargo area so all my s*** stays secure.
