Ok seems we have more interest over Labor Day weekend. Sept 4-7.

Count me in for Labor Day weekend.
My wife wants to come after I showed her that photo someone post on the second page of this thread.

for those who have ridden the trail system (Ouray) are lockers / locker needed?
debating whether to do this upgrade or not this year.
thanks

Yeah no lockers needed. Stock with good tires would do fine. If you want something and need to convince wifey you need for trip then I would get sliders if you don't already have them.

Thanks guys - Guess that answers that then.
I ordered some Slee's magical sliders already - thanks

So sounds like we have a half dozen 200's or so in for the Labor Day weekend run, right? What's our next step, never been there before, do we have to reserve anything? Trail passes, campsites etc? Are we thinking of meeting up all three days, Sunday and Monday, thoughts? Let's put this together, Super phyced to hit the trail with ya guys!!! -Ken

Don't need any reservations for trail runs. They have campsites that are very popular close by. Cabins can be rented and hotels. We will probably go with a cabin for the kids and wifey. I will try to rename the thread with official date and I'm thinking sat/sun runs with Labor Day as a travel day? Friday night get together for beers and intros.

this sounds perfect!!! Sat and Sun runs is exactly what I was thinking also, I'll need Monday for travel... I"m in!!!

Black bear is tight in a 200 but Slee did it last year.

Don't go up there without running Imogene. The peak is awesome.

Clear lake is also a great day run.

Glad you guys are starting this up.

My buddy says white rim is only three hours north. I may be game for hitting that up before heading south. Any advice?

White rim trail is in Moab, which is more west than north. If you run White Rim, better plan a night on the trail. It can be done in two days, but is more comfortable and enjoyable taking three. Take extra fuel ;)

Thank you. The way I see it if I'm out there then why not. Ya know

Come with us out to CO. We can caravan.

I am going to Moab and Northeastern Utah in June. Given my lack of gainful employment at the moment, I don't think a second trip is in the works for me this year.

I would be game, but need at least 4 weeks to put in leave requests with work. Id be coming from the Nashville area.
