So, I've been thinking of changing my Nittos for a set of Toyos. Anyone here interested in a set of 5 35/12.5/R17 Trail Grapplers?

As you know, I'm most likely going to get to 35's at some point. Curious why you may want to change? You also looking at 35's in the Toyo style?

I want something a little more pavement friendly. I like the looks of the Open Country R/T. Less aggressive tread pattern. Quieter, and more suited for the driving I do. Also figured if I'm going to make a switch, it better be while I have plenty of life left in the Nittos; I can get more money for them that way.

After years of running the Toyo OC MTs (Great Tire) I switched to the Toyo OC ATIIs. Went everywhere the MTs took me but they are quieter and will last twice as long. I looked at the R/T but decided on the AT. One reason, my daughters always ran ATs and followed me wheeling all over. The ATs grab better on rocks and ledges. I know from going to Flat Nasty 10 years ago the wheeling in the east is more loose rock, the ATs would likely do fine there

Not a bad choice here in anything your looking at, thats what makes it so hard

Got it... thanks. That makes sense for an overlander truck.

I have a question about the blue tooth phone and settings....

I have found that if my radio is playing and i get a phone call and pick it up on the bluetooth in the truck, as soon as i hit the hands free mode to switch it back to my phone the damn radio starts blasting again! WTF! If i'm listening to a CD or iPod or even the iPod through bluetooth it doesn't do that until you end the call.... but the radio turns right back on blasting.

anyone?

When I answer using the hands free in the truck coming over the speakers the stereo is always muted. I am assuming you are pressing the button on the phone to take it off the systems bluetooth and just use the phone.

I went through the manual and didn't see anything. Mine works the same way. My wife's RX350 also works the same way. I have always turned the radio down or off when I want to go to the phone

Got bored of stock power and couldn't find a half decent machine shop around here who agreed to do the work so decided to do the machining on my own. Did a dyno run and absolutely no freakin gains.... Still at 1hp! :bang:

Try adding a little coke in to the fuel. Also, perhaps a bigger dump pipe?

That feeling you get when you realise you got carried away...

Is that yours??? Or at a salvage yard?

To my non-mechanic eyes, it just makes a small voice in my head scream, "Run awaaaaaaaay!"

If you can make sense of all that? -My hat's off to you.

-Great stuff in small chunks...

Haha i have that voice in my head as well. I've got a few guys helping out as I'm quite useless when it comes to electrics, there were some dodgy modifications done to the ac unit to run an aftermarket ac

Got sticker-shock over the US version Cruiser...?

-Just for fun, I blinged out a "Mercedes Jeep"
...and it added up to this **INSANE** price:

Suddenly the 2016 Cruiser looks like a bleeping' BARGAIN!!!! ;)

brain trust - does anyone have and willing to share an audio wiring diagram for our system?
I purchased a JL Audio MBT-RX bluetooth audio receiver - need to know which wires to tap into.
thanks

excellent - thanks man

I recently purchased a 2016 Land Cruiser and picked up an OME suspension upgrade. I'd originally planned on doing the suspension myself, but I haven't made time for it over multiple weekends and recently started shopping for a shop to do the install.

I got a quote from 4 Wheel Parts today for $3900 for the install only at a rate of $500/hr. That would not include any parts. I haven't done business with 4 Wheel Parts before but doesn't that seem ridiculously high? I was expecting to pay around $1000?

At that rate I'll just wait until I have time and knock it out with a buddy and some beer.

Walk the F%$# away and walk away fast. I had my front OME's done at a local shop for $500.00 and did the rear coils in the driveway. Its a simple R&I, change shock plates and install springs. 1 hour job after 3 turns on the KDSS valve.
