If you dont have a heater, Specter sells a grommet plug part #187-10NH to block off these two holes.

Looks like a rat took some nibbles on your old one!

For those that have a heater, Mr T still sells it. Part #90480-01167.

That hole to the right of the heater port is for the vent drains. Mr T still sells the grommet for that also but I dont have the part number handy.

Happy Thanksgiving all!
I ordered some grommets today, not just for this 1 hole but a few others which led me down a rabbit hole looking at all the voids to plug
Can anyone tell or show me what went here?
@bdawg23 does your '74 have this 2" void on the transmission tunnel?

It does not. I believe my 74 is a non-usa model though so might be not a good reference. Hope you had a great Thanksgiving!

Has anyone put a breather filter on this rather than run it back to the base of the carburetor or is there a need for it to go there?

It doesn't need to go to the carb, I think you have yours plumbed in to where the EGR used to go. Probably doesn't matter

No engine "needs" a PCV valve. It's an emission device that's not really that detrimental to the engines performance. It's designed to burn blowby and oil fumes that are created in the crankcase. Prior to the pcv a lot of manufacturers used a road draft tube venting gases to the atmosphere.

Yep. But the OP asked...

I am sure that somewhere in the history of Landcruiser somebody has done just that. Probably more than once. Some people will run a catch can. Keeping it stock really isn't much of a problem unless when you want to lift the valve cover.

I still want to do something different with the choke cable
That is one heck of a choke cable! Can you just cut it down to fit? you can probably get rid of the "Warm Pull" knob and it's cable too...

Can anyone tell me the difference in head bolts for 1958-9/73 and 9/73-1/75?
The Late F engine head bolts are an inch longer than the others (says Mark A.)
