Ah just received my Koito Amber fog lights too..... 6 days sure is fast. Mine, might even have arrived Yesterday.

Thanks Mot! Quality was awesome on these lights. Packaging was very neat and safe.

I have to wait till my B day for them now. But once that happens I will install them and post a pic for you guys.

BTW, I just wanted to post and let those of you who have been (patiently) waiting for either the brackets or the pull switches that I'm still at it and I will let you know just as soon as I receive them.

I've got some more of the "pull" switches in today.

BUT just in case I was not being clear, I wanted to do the final comparison pics of what I'm offering:

Pic 1: Left/My offering; Right/Actual 40's switch with a wrong knob (Lengths are different).

Pic 2: Left/My offering; Right/Actual 40's switch with the smaller knob taken from one of my offerings.

Pic 3: Top/My offering, with the included bracket mounted.

As I've tried to tell you before, my offering is for a different Toyota vehicle and I have not had anybody install it before in any Land Cruisers.

However, I have sold and had a few old-style fog lights listed elsewhere in this thread with similar pull style switches with no issues on various Land Cruisers.

I do not know if you can install my offering into the dash of the 40 or 55. And I do not know if that supplied bracket would mount correctly under the dash like shown here.

I guess I had already done a more thorough comparison stuff on Page 8 of this thread.

So all of this might have been redundant, but someone refered to the pull switch I'm offering as "the switch for the 40" and that made me more than a little nervous.

So... although I had purchased and fiddled(sp) with the "40's" switch earlier in the thread what I'm selling was "not" designed for the 40, but is for another Toyota vehicle, same with the bracket.

"IF" you would prefer the 40's switch, with the "correct" nut, and the smaller knob, then I would have to purchase the 40's switch (Does not come with the knob, nor the nut) and then to purchase the switch/braket set that I'm offering, take out the knob and slap it on to the 40's switch.

I can do that if you'd like. But naturally it would cost more.

Let me know if I can be any more confusing...:doh:

Question: How bright are these fog lamps? I have mounts on my windshield frame and don;t know if the yellow would work that well. I might move them to the bumper but I don't know yet.

How much for clear vs. amber, and do you have any with "Toyota" on it still? I am also intersted in the switch and harness.

The fogs are not very bright.
If you're talking about the newer design, they use the 55w H3 bulbs.
In case of the older ones, they are even less powerful at 35w or so.

So I imagine having them on/by the windshield frame, farther away from the front of the vehicle would not light up the road in front of you very well, especially if the light is yellow/amber.

If they're on the bumper, then the fog lights would do their job. But they're not driving lights though.;)

I would really like to get a set of yellow fogs with H3 bulbs- it would be for an Fj60- The foggy smoky mountain mornings/nights require a strong light. I would like complete package if you got it. Let me know
