For those of you who are intereted in the pull-type fog switch, I can throw in the bracket shown in the pics below, if you have to have it to install it (It's not for a 40, so there's a good chance that it might not work. I just don't know!)

Pic 1 & 2: Bracket I can throw in

Pic 3: Actual switch/bracket installed in (an older?) 40. Pimp's???

I'm confused about the fog light brackets. What is their purpose? Is there some specialized fitting on older Cruisers that needs that square hole?

Is there a chance of obtaining just a knob? Any more available? I have a switch, just looking for a knob?

Thanks

THANKS!:crybaby:
It looks great!
BTW, I just picked up a few more sets of the OEM fogs just like yours.:)

You know, I was wondering about that myself.
Maybe Pimp would be kind enough to chime in with his insight.;)

Why don't you purchase the whole thing just so you can sleep better at night to know that you've got a spare switch.:hillbilly:

I can't remember if I was able to locate a knob separately or not (I know that I could get the bigger "knob" pictured above/earlier, but..."

I'll let you know!

I just checked, but the only extra knob I have is the bigger one pictured in above posts which "should" still fit your switch (It did mine).

LMK if you're interested!

Mot :)

Mot, what kind of camera do you use and what setting? do you use a tripod? they are so clear. the pics you take are awesome.

Thanks!;)

I just use an older Olympus POS camera with no tripod.:hillbilly:

If you only knew how many pictures I take before posting.

Kind of off the track, but I was checking my inventory I realized that I have WAY too much inventory.

So.... the yellow, multi-reflector Koito's gotta go!

If you have even remotely thought about getting a pair of quality fog lights, this is the chance. I'm going to clear them out for $59US, plus shipping.

I can send them for $30 (slowboat) or $60 (express air).

Let me know if you or anybody you know would take them off of my hands.:D

THANKS!

Mot :)

That my friends is almost 10 times cheaper than what the dealers charge for these here in Japan - man those things are sweet!!! I have a nice set of clears exactly like that, super lights!

Ganbatte on the sale :-)

Mot, pretty sure you found the 40 series fog light brackets there....not sure which finish is correct but would guess the goldish ones.....well heck they must both have been used as they are the same.

nice work! :)

There were two different finishes/materials in the batch I obtained.

I'm not a good photographer!:flipoff2:

Anyone?

dieseldog,

That was one fast slowboat!:flipoff2:;)
I sent another set to TYLER's countryman at the same time. Curious to see how long that would take.

BTW, thanks for the pic!
You know if I didn't know better I would have thought you weren't happy with the fogs or something!:D

Thanks so much for taking them off of my hands.;)

Hope they serve you well!

Mot:cheers:

Are US 80's wired for these, what else is needed to hook them up? Also, where do most people put them: on the OEM bumper?

Kernal,

As far as I know, the US-spec 80 did NOT come wired for fogs, but I could be wrong.
And most people just mount them on the bumper, aftermarket or OEM.
Hope this helps!

BTW, I sent dieseldog his fogs on Wednesday afternoon and he posted at (my) 5:13AM, meaning it took less than three days for them to cross the pond and find his place. :D

Some slowboat, that's for sure!;)

This is how the fog brackets work, Sean. The square hole is for a carriage bolt that goes into the bumper. Said bolt is available from Toyota/CDan. I think I can wrestle up the PN if someone's interested.
