Still hoping to making it over for camping. Find out this week if I'm okay to drive. For what ever reason doctor left instructions not to drive. Seeing reports the leaves are turning up north already. Know a spot just off the 300 road that has maples. Window for prime colors is small. Hoping this run won't be too late.

Well that was quick, as long as I have a cast on (next doctor's appointment is the tenth of next month) he is not approving driving.:bang:

Guess I'll have to settle to being chauffeured over to the rim to view fall colors. Pictures from past years.

WHat are you bummed about, you weren't getting in my trailer if I did bring it. Even with that pretty mouth. :hillbilly:

I think I went too far with the Deliverance comment and killed the thread:hillbilly:

Im still trying to figure out how to mount my tent cot on top of my truck and string a bunch of empty cans around it as my early warning system

This will make em squeal like a pig.:D

Anyone have a front seat available?

My wife and I ran this trail about a month and a half ago, so we will forgo our spot in the top 10 to let someone else in. I could still lead the trip (from the passenger seat of your vehicle. As long as your vehicle has a radio). We are still camping either way, my wife will drive our vehicle to the camping area, just not via Casner.

I am running solo and would love to do the trail! Let me know.

I have 7 open seats in my Land Cruiser and would love to run the trail. I have radios also ;)

Thanks Matt and CJ! Since CJ is higher up on the wait list, I will take your offer (plus, I get to ride in a cushy 100 :) ). And CJ, while I am tall, I don't take up that many seats .

I just have to talk my wife into driving me down to Sedona on Saturday, then she should be able to follow Brice, or a map, back to the Edge of the World. See you all on Saturday!

Sounds good! see you Saturday!

Sadly I am going to have to bow out. I have to make some changes to my trailer prior to delivery and will hopefully be delivering it this weekend. I really wanted to attend this I and I really appreciate being invited. Timing has just turned out to be bad. While my schedule may change I didn't want to wait until the last minute thus preventing someone else from going.

Bummer.good luck with the trailer...Brice, who's up next?

I just edited the first post. With @Pitch riding with @Chrismanjs and @1Louder dropping out, @Dissent is in the for the trail run.

Since I am going up either Thursday or early Friday morning, I will let those who are coming up on Saturday morning figure out the meeting place and time outside the valley.
When we drove up last year, we took the 260 toward Cottonwood to catch 89A south west of Sedona. It is a faster router than the 179.
For those of you headed straight to camping, I think the faster way is going to be taking the I-17 all the way to the Flagstaff airport exit, then take the 89A south. FS535 is only about 8.5 miles from the Flagstaff airport exit off the I-17.
