Keep yourself healthy and worry about the bolts when you're well. We can wait. I appreciate all you've put into this project.
 
Running board bolt size???

Anybody know the size of the single bolt that that bolts through the bracket from the frame?
 
Stopped by the Bolt supplier today. Still no pricing, what can I say. I did pick up the JIS stuff that comes yellow zinc plated and they are exactly what we need if you are looking for original looking bolts. I told my guy that I would post his name so everyone can call him to order what they want. He is very nice and will help with what ever you need. The only thing I can not tell yet is if all sizes are available in these latest JIS as shown here. They are from the source Auveco, but they must be ordered through a dealer. A stocking Auveco dealer must stock over $1000.00 so he orders the stuff from one of his suppliers, if that makes any sense. Anyhow here is his contact info. Tell him it is for a Toyota Land Cruiser and he will know what you are talking about. My guess is that all the stuff I have ordered that you see here including the plating will be less than $250.00 base on his prices that he quoted me. I have a lot of bolts now. :) Thanks to Kevin.

I'm a little bewildered as to how I go about knowing what bolts to order. I know Coolerman went to a great deal of trouble to catalog a lot of different applications, but from what I can tell they are not categorized.

i.e. engine block, interior, exterior

So how do I know what to order? :crybaby:

As was I. I just ordered a large amount of most all sizes bc it is not too expensive and most of the stuff comes in packs of 100. Here is my list of what I ordered. You can also call Cruiserparts.net and buy factory bolts from them for the larger stuff if needed.

I set up the spread sheet for folks that are restoring and need all the bolts. That's why it's sorted by bolt size with totals for each size. I had started working on one sorted by application but since I'm restoring I stopped work on it. ;)

I tried to use the same description on each bolt so it should be very easy to find say all the water pump bolts....

Are you saying all the above listed JIS yellow zinc hardware came to $250?

A real stand-up kinda guy - super helpful.
He is looking into the availability of other sizes and I am flipping through the 600+pg catalog...

He is still looking into pricing but at least the following seems to be readily available.

If you are interested in ordering, shoot him an email using the Auveco part No and quantity and he will get a quote to you.

I emailed Kevin the list above to him maybe 1-2 weeks ago and I'm still waiting for a quote from him. He did reply promptly acknowledging my request and stating he would get back to me. Has anyone else gotten a quote?
 
No - still in a holding pattern as well.
My guess is that it is the M10 stuff that is causing a problem since there does not seem to me any in the catalog.

Perhaps he is waiting for a response from Auveco.... :confused:





Just Spoke with Kevin - he was waiting for prices and has several quotes that should be going out "shortly"..........
I will post info here when it arrives.

Hey guys, I ordered some of the Auveco bolts from my local supplier and got them within one week. I decided I would test them by ordering only some of the M6 and M8 stock from page 48 of the catalog that posted on this thread earlier. Below is some pricing info that I paid for the stuff:

16751 M6x1.0x30 Hex Head (qty 25) $9.02

16754 M8x1.25x30 Hex Head (qty 25) $11.38

16761 M8x1.25x30 Hex Head (qty 25) $12.20

16758 M6x1.0x30 Hex Head (qty 25) $9.74

I figured I would order the 30 mm length stuff and then cut to size if I needed a 8, 12, 20 etc.

All this stuff was on page 48 of the catalog that 71FJ40 had attached in a previous post. Everything I ordered came in quantities of 25 and roughly $9 ~ $12 a box.

The guy I dealt with was extremely easy to work with and Im sure he would order more stuff if I know the part #s. Can anybody get the missing part #s for the M10 stuff?

It looks like there are no M10 fasteners available in the Yellow Dichromate.

The following Au-ve-co spec sheet shows the only M10 fasteners they have available.

2 problems though - they are hex flange nut and
Zinc Plated (ie silver/zinc in color)
