BTW... I installed LAST WEEK! That happened in literally like 3 days...

Anytime. I enjoy learning everything.
Got them Slee Castor Plates:

BECAUSE the blue bushings did this in less than a week:

Luckily I still had a set of arms with the OEM bushings to use the plates.

Huge thanks to @Intern22 for his garage this morning! Hopefully he'll get that lift sooner than later and I can help him!

And another "oh yeah..."
last week, went to get my dinner and heard a gawd-awful grinding. Like two midgets in the backseat scrubbing!
backed up outta my spot when leaving and the rear locked up. I Immediately knew what the issue was. limped home. Ordered rear rotors and pads for in-store pickup and texted my mechanic friend. He said he'd throw them on the next morning.

Here's the damage: a stuck "single piston" design... was psuhing on one side, prolly for years... the pad got so small, it fell out and into the wheel. I've seen this before on the rear 80-series single piston calipers. a slide-rail gets seized...

Same thing happened to mine. I don't think my rear rotors got worn like yours but the pads got worn down so far that all was left was the pad backing plate. The backing plate got pulled between the small slot between the rotor and caliper bracket. Mine was undriveable because the friction surface on the rotor got cracked and the caliper piston kept on catching the edge of the piston.
Found out the previous owner didn't bother to put the wear indicators on

The wear indicators actually are prone to fall out on these, since they're just held in by the pad, that's supposed to slide. I know I've personally put them in on these and next time I was in the axle, the things were MIA.

Spartan is in the rear!
Front axle is completely rebuilt with Longs/RCV's!
Neither are something I can post pics of... LOL.

And BTW @Intern22, it was definitely the shocks limiting the droop when trying to put the 2" spacer in.... OOPS!

Next up is sway bar drops and bump stop drops! Gotta fab them up with some 2x2 and 2x3 tubing...

Her how Mulligan sits with the 2" pucks now...

Awesome!! Looks great. Guess I need to start getting some parts after the new addition gets here.

Yea or nea on the leather headrests on the cloth seats?!

Sway bar drops can be bought from the Home Depots....

And by the by... YES! The seats need a deep cleanin... They from the boro TN.

I like the leather. Didn't even notice at first. A classy comfy look

Don't forget, how the "leather" looked...

Got them brand new flanges!

Knowing the likely eventual fate of this 80 I'd say that the leather + cloth combination is irrelevant:lol:.

Some cruiser guy in Tallassee wanted to buy it for his kid

Got folks asking... thought I had posted them somewhere but guess I did not.
The shocks are for a "rear 97 Ford F-150 with 2" of lift" and you need four of them... And yes, They'll look at you cross-eyed when you say you need 4 rear shocks for your F-150. Each store only carries two, so be prepared to come back for two more.

You will need to "open up" the rear shock eyelet a bit to fit on the post....

You'll need these for the front's only...
