I wanted to not take up room inside, have something to slide a tree against, and not increase the width.

The A pillar bars go through the upper fenders, through the lower fender tops and then bend slightly to run straight up and down to a 2x3 rec tube that also connects the slider to the frame.

I had them up against trees a couple of times and they work great.

Forgot to bring my camera at the Cliffs yesterday and nobody took any pics of the pig except this one.

The cage is done and works very well. I wish I could say the same about hte alternator yesterday.

Cage looks good!

She's sitting pretty level. What did you end up using for springs?

Did I miss what size tubing you used for the exo? It looks like 1 3/8. I was curious what people thought is the minimum size you could use for an interior cage and still be safe.

Ryan.

It's 1.5x.125 tube.

Thanks.

used 2nd gen 4Runner 1.5 inch lift springs. All-Pro, I think. I think I could go with stock Runner springs, or go another inch or so on the front shackles. They are reversed, but stock length now.

Just so nobody complains about me cutting off good parts, here's the rusted piece of crap I cut off. The regulator and glass are still good. I'll scavenge those.

Are those license plate lights any good? I need one or two 'cause mine are pretty rusty.

Here is the current progress...

How did you get a "Historic Vehicle" license plate? In B.C. Canada they won't give me one even though my FJ55 looks totally stock. It has a turbo-diesel engine instead of the original 2F. Your truck on the other hand...

The plate lights are good. I was gonna mount them on either side of the plate in back.

Can I buy you some aftermarket lights in exchange for those?
