Nah you can have her for free, I was referring to the cruiser, hilux and Toyota dealership. :hillbilly::flipoff2:

On another note, is that Floratam or St Augustine grass that she's fixing to walk onto? That's what we have down here as the climate makes other types difficult to maintain.

Up north they call that crabgrass :flipoff2:

Screw those Yanks, they know nothing. My retired neighbors are always picking it out of their lawn and my response is "hell, it's green so just leave it".

If ya don't water it much and cut it low, you can end up with a really nice surface for a ground ball to bounce true. I know, we've been doing that for about 20 years now. :)

Lol I have no idea. It’s green and I’m allergic. Purge with fire.

Back on topic. If the 79 in question does indeed have drum brakes and lacks a DPF, and these items are required for your emissions and safety regs then wouldn’t it be a better option to purchase a higher spec vehicle with these features from another market? Not that drum brakes are that bad, my ‘17 hilux has them and it pulls up fine. It would be interesting to see what other features aren’t included on this variant compared to an Australian market one.

I know if personally be interested in one only if it was 110% legal and as stock as could be. I think the main problem you're going to have is price. I'd bet most people on 'Mud wouldn't buy one due to a price factor.

The LC America will be as stock as it can e AND still pass all of the EPA emission compliance and DOT/NHTSA safety certification requirements.

Google my location and ask again whether I’ve ever driven or seen a 70 series first hand! I’ve seen and driven more than you ever will

Like I said,if you have not driven the 2017 then I thought that you might be misinformed.

Ok, here is an opportunity for you to resolve at least one issue. The wheels you have chosen to replace the non-DOT compliant wheels are a horrible choice.

If you are not going to use the wheels that come with the truck at least use another Toyota wheel. It's not stock but it's Toyota and closer to stock than those atrocious wheels.

I agree, the bro flat biller look is terrible. Are you selling to enthusiast or kids with daddy money and mommy issues?

Dubai, UAE

Actually, at risk of something slightly edifying, I was looking at their pictures (not that I could afford it even if it were real, I'm just curious what a new 79 looks like) and saw this sticker:

Beno, any clue as to where the dynamic duo found this truck, based on the Arabic on the sticker?

Plus, that tire/wheel combo looks way to big and wide for the stock suspension. Maybe its the angle, but how much clearance do they have? How much offset outside the fender is there? The least amount of suspension flex and you are boogering up your fenders, and they may not pass inspection in quite a few states with that much offset.

Certainly not the look I'd go with.:meh:

If I had unicorns to sell, the first thing I'd do is saddle one up and ride that sucker all over the friggin' country for peope to drool over.

No time to just drive for fun, it needs to be worked on.

Not hang out on interweb forums trying to convince everyone that unicorns exist.

What about CARB compliant? I know my home state "WA" requires vehicles 2009 and newer to be CARB compliant, I for some reason don't see this happening. All yout answers are extremely indirect and half of them answer the question just enough for you to get by.

Sorry if I missed this already.

LC America reminds me of this:

Comes with a rear locker and enoughgagets to fly to the moon and back and have some change in your pocket....

Why would you compare it to that? More appropriate comparison you could buy a 2018 Taco TRD Pro, send it to Iceland and Slee for their Insecurity Lift, Bloatation tires, winches on fancy bumpers, fender flappers, rear vision blinders, Light-Up-The-Sun light kit, rebel flag mod, Kegerator, stripper pole with stripper, and STILL be money ahead of the Phantom Scamper Edition 70-series being promoted on this thread. Gotta stay with Toyota reliability after all.
