If I can get my parts from IPOR to get my Cruiser fixed I should be able to make it.

cool, you were one of just a couple maybes i was going to check on. What are you working on? looks like a axle rebuild. best of luck, hope you can make it.

Rick, that was a slick form in .pdf format! i need to learn how to do that. I could use that in my work a lot. Did you use adobe writer?

Its an application that came with Acrobat Pro called Adobe LiveCycle Designer. I've never used it before, but it seems to be working pretty good.

My compliments to the "chef", very well done. Super easy to fill out the necessary information, save and return. Again, well done...

Jerry, thanks for the compliment, but I didn't actually receive your forms back yet. Try sending again.

FYI, I've received 12 replies back.

Rick, I did not get any forms - please email them to me at joe at 4x4wire dot com and to joesoos at gmail dot com. Thanks!

Rick - I sent it last night at ~9:38p to the email address I received it from. When I clicked on the "email" button, it appeared that nothing happened, so I attached it to an email.

I just sent it again, please let me know if I'm being a bonehead and not getting them to you...

I will send again. You were included in the first mailing. Not sure why you did not receive. Let me know if you do not receive an email from me today (Thursday Oct 16).

I cant make it, away for work the entire week before and after this weekend. It would just be to hard. I was really hoping to meet up with you guys. :crybaby:

FWIW: gas out in the Asheville area was ~$3 this week, we filled up this morning for $2.98. Didn't see any shortages. There is construction on I-40 W at Hickory and in Asheville. The leaves are just now turning, we saw some spectacular scenery this week, I imagine next week will be even better. :)

I just heard on the radio today that western NC had the cheapest gas in the state right now, hopefully it will even be a little lower by next weekend.

Morning folks! I just sent confirmation e-mails to those who have sent their forms back to me (and I actually received them).

If you got an e-mail that says, "Thanks (name), got your forms." Then you are done with registration.

If you did NOT get an e-mail confirmation from me this morning, then I did not receive your forms. Please try to send them again. I realize that some folks are having issues with the automatic submit function. If you hit submit and nothing happens, try saving a copy to your PC then manually attaching the forms.

Also you may try updating your Adobe Acrobat Reader program (a free download) at Adobe - Adobe Reader Download - All versions

Thanks for your cooperation with this. Doing this through e-mail makes registering 50 folks a lot easier and will be a time saver on the day of the event. Otherwise we will have to collect hand written forms in the parking lot and waste valuable wheel-time :steer:

looks like i might not make the friday morning caravan. when is the afternoon group leaving?
Probably around 4-5pm. Still to be determined.

I'll send my forms as soon as I figure out which of my computers will actually open the forms and allow me to input to and save them. Hell I might have to fire up a version of Windows.:crybaby:;):flipoff2:

Not sure why this appears to be a MAC issue, but your not the first. I thought Adobe stuff was MAC friendly...

Ask Mtbcoach what he did to make it work. He tried several attempts and got something right the 3rd time.

My guess is Joe's not having a Mac issue :)

What I had to do in order to send the form was...fill out all the "active" fields, hitting the "send by email" button didn't do anything, neither did the print button. I used the file/print which opens the print dialogue box, then printed a hard copy to my local printer, then selected the .pdf button. This gave me a choice to save as .pdf, did so to my desktop then emailed Rick with that attached.

If I used the file/save or save as, it wiped the data from the active fields.

That's what worked for me...

That's right, now I remember...
File>Print>
In the drop down box for your printer option choose "Adobe PDF" instead of your normal printer (Epson/HP etc...)
Then it "prints" it as a new file which you save to your desktop.
Then email me that as an attachment.

thanks for the refresher Jerry!

Technically I am primarily using an Apple laptop these days - with a nice Linux distro for the PPC cpu.:p I think my other PC can run Acrobat Reader, I'll check later on.

Yeah I wasted a lot of time trying to get my Mac to do the auto email.
Lots easier to just open it on the desktop, fill it in, save it as a different file to desktop, then attach it to an email.
Apple wants you to use Preview and I even downloaded a fresh Adobe but I was messing with something else and missed my opportunity to make Adobe the default and never could figure out how later.
