Taking a poll now. What time are the Friday PM folks arriving? I know Mtbcoach said he couldn't get to Sylva until 7:30pm or 8pm. Included in the FRIDAY PM GROUP: fourtrax, sigep0359, 1972FJ40, rutbeer, proinv and ROLDS. AND TRfWJ...

So, we've always wanted to do a Snow run up in Cullowhee. This wkend may be our chance afterall. W/ the temperatures we generally experience up on the balds, it might get a little nasty. I know I'll be watching it closely.

Don't forget your Gortex boots! Extra pairs of dry socks. Drybags or garbage bags for stowing your wet gear. Extra towels and paper towels for drying stuff off.

Thinking since ONSC group is planning a group meal that their Friday PM arrivals will take Mosley route. Jason is thinking of moving his first night camp from Rough Butt to the upper bald. Will give us the opportunity to reserve the bald for Sat night too.
That being said, I think proinv and TRfWJ will be the only UC'ers arriving later on Friday. We'll come get you at the park around 4:30 or so.

Jay- looks like you, Jason and Spence are the only ones arriving on Saturday. What time do you think you'll get to Sylva?
We may just have you roll into our morning caravans after we break camp. At some point we're crossing the main road or will be close enough to it to have you meet us up the road from the BP station.
Guys, I hate to bail, but work has me handcuffed. Not gonna make this one.

I've been checking the weather constantly. It looks like it might let up a bit on Saturday, but it's gonna hit us hard on Friday. Either way, looks like it'll be a wet mess Sat.

Weather is starting to change. It's coming through faster now than they had earlier had planned. That's good. Only a 30% change on Sat and now they are calling for partly cloudy Sat night. That's gonna be awesome on the bald.
I'm betting ya'll won't have any rain when you wake up Sat morning. Forcast for Sunday is awesome with no clouds.
We have always one day of crappy weather up there. But even in the crappy weather we have fun. Nobody has ever come off that trail and ever said that they had a bad time. Even with a broken vehicle. That place is where you gain the stories you tell your grand kids about. Sat night and then waking up to heaven on Sunday morning is what it is all about.
You may just see me Sat night.
