Last time u guys went...how long did it take to go through popcorn and Charlie? was wickedpickled’s estimate of an hour and 1.5 hours reasonable for each trail respectively?

That seems pretty reasonable. We'd gotten in around noon-1PM or so? Then got out after both trails just as it was getting dark, so maybe 5-6PM. However, we spent a while getting a truck un-stuck. In lieu of that, we probably would have come out about an hour and a half earlier.

Not gonna make it. Yal have fun and be safe. I’ll try to keep an eye out for the January ride. I’m down for whatever.

Guys I'm sorry but I'm not gonna make it either. My wife is sick and I was up all night. Really sorry I'm missing this, but I'll definitely be up for the next one. Post up some pics!

thanks for letting me tag along yesterday, quite fun doing popcorn and Charlie. views were incredible and I like to enjoy the scenery while driving so no pics from me unfortunately.

@BnvS, shoot me me your cell or email and I'll forward you some pics of the roof rack mounts I'm making.

Great job guys!

New to this forum but not those trails. I recognize a few spots there - where all did ya'll go?

In for the next one!

We went on FS 163 which is on popcorn rd. And then we went to Charlie's Creek and FS 73 right off Charlie's creek.

Very cool. I have ridden 163 on a bicycle but not a 4 wheel drive.

I ran Charlie's Creek and 73 in my van a month or two ago and was proud of myself until we saw a stock Prius that had just run the same route. Not sure how he did on the water crossings....

Hey I say if they could get up there then more power to them...no one says you have to enjoy the outdoors in an SUV. hehe..

I was on a trip to Moab earlier this year and coming through a particularly rough track, we came upon an older couple had to be in their 70s, sitting outside their Chevy 3500 4x4 with a massive slide in truck camper, just enjoying the scenery. They waved as we went past. I was flat amazed they got that thing into that spot. I told my wife, that will be us someday.
