its been along time sense I've been a noob. I just got my hands on a 75 fj55.
Over all it's ok little rust but missing a lot of needed components I.e. Interior door and Les and window handles, well all interior is missing.
It will take we awhile to get my post count up I'll be using the search feature for most of ,y noob questions till I get a handle on what I'm getting into, anyway thanks for having me I hope I can be a help.

Welcome,

Most of have some spare hard to find items in our stash of good things to have for a future project.

Post lots of pictures when you get a chance, we love us pictures down here in the sty!!

I sure will. And I guess I'll make a wtb post so I can get the must have parts.

Welcome aboard!

What's your first plans for it? Looks nice, a lot better than most, oh yeah you better get the florist's number on speed dial. :)

The wife is kinda used to it by now lol. It has a 350 swap so I'll prolly do tpi till I pull the trigger on the 5.3 I'm sitting on.
I need some parts just to make it a driver then I'll do miner interior work.
I have a set of speed hut gauges I'll be installing but I need to work out placement and where I'll mount the tach.
Oh I need wheels lol it has 3 of the 16 split rims and 4 new style 15 Chevy wheels that are useless

The pigs have a tricky dash when it comes to mounting aftermarket gauges and making it look like they belong, I spent more than a few days scratching my head staring at the big blank hole in my dash trying to fit my gauges.

Spend a few days looking at some of the build threads down here and you'll see some ingenious ideas that these guys have come up with but be warned it gets expensive in a hurry.

Good luck, can’t wait to see what you come up with!!

I have the gauges already. I was going to use them in a scout build but they are better suited here. They are like the stock gauges 4 in one programmable and then speedo (gps). Very low profile so no issues there they are all electric and come with Gm sensors.

I ended up building a lower pod to house the extra gauges, after adding A/C the area behind the dash gets cramped in a hurry.

Another option would be to order the speed"O" tach combo from Speed hut, this is the one I ordered for my second pig project

I'm planing on building a lower also. I am going to get a vintage air a/c heat combo

So I ran the casting on the block and heads today... I may keep the sbc just because it's a 327 with small chamber 2.02 heads. The block is a 1968 crate motor
