I might be in for a run later in September when I am home from Colorado. For October the Fall Crawl is the weekend of the 23rd and is usually a good event. This year it is informal, no registration, no meal, no raffle and the VA guys are camping (as far as I know, anyway) at rausch. They're a hardy bunch. Several of the southern guys belong to our club now and the FC will be a great opportunity for the diffeent clubs to mingle. Thoughts? And besides me are any members planning to head north to New Hampshire for the Fall Gathering the weekend of October 9?

I hate missing an official run, but like this idea...how about Saturday 9/25?

This does not compute, I see Big Dogs Fall Crawl happening Oct. 17 and 18 at the Cove in VA.
Is there another event I'm missing?
Is BlueRidge to Bay Cruisers coming to Rausch?

Yes. BBRC is holding Fall Crawl at Rousch this year. No Registration, No Dinner, No T-Shirt just good time wheeling with a good group of guys!

What are people driving this weekend? Ive got a red/black and silver 1st gen 4runner on 36's. So I know who to look for.

Also my brother-inlaw may be interested in driving his stock land rover. Is that cool with everyone. Its older and he understands it will get scratched. But he has no driving experience to speak of.

I'm 50/50, my buddy just dropped out.

So who is definitely in; Caz, sfadchi and jamarquardt22?

OK, let me see if I can rally anyone else.

@ Chris or anyone else. I was thinking of grabbing dinner up in pine grove at Buddys Log Cabin. Any takers?

Well how did Satruday go? Who all showed up and what trails did you wheel? I'm in Denver right now waiting for an early AM flight tomorrow to get back home. Did a lot of wheling out here and a lot of exploring. Weather was great and it was an awesome week in Colorado. Gary S

I took very few pictures too busy driving the rental jeeps. Most of what i took with my phone are touristy type photos, one of my friends had his camera gear with him and he is going to send me a zip drive when he gets home. Weather was absolutely perfect for my ten days, blue skies, a few puffy white clouds, only rained while i was sleeping one night. Rented a jeep in Ouray one day and for two days in Silverton. Took me awhile to get my shelf road "courage" back- it's been quite a few years since I drove those shelf roads. Even the hard roads get your attention- route 92 from Granite to Aspen is interesting, and the million dollar highway (550) from Ouray to Silverton gets your attention- especially now that there are several construction sites one of which hangs you right out near the edge. If any, there are not many guardrails on these roads either. None of the wheeling did was difficult compared to the rock crawling around here but the potential fear and danger factor is big time. I did Imogene and Ophir passes out of Ouray, and out of Silverton we did Hurricane and California passes, the Buffalo Boy tram house, Stony Pass, and Minnie and Maggie gulches to their ends. Got to see the mine portal that the federals blew out and ran all that contaminated water and mine tailings down into the Animas River. That event made international news. I'm attaching three photos of that area taken from the lower section of the corkscrew gulch road. Saturday I visited my friend Terry Holben in Blackhawk, he does all the shirts for the Rising Sun club, and has an interesting collection of cruisers. We wheeled the areas around Blackhawk and Rollinsville and had a great time. I had good rooms everywhere I stayed and all in all it was a great trip. Will attach some more shots as I get them off my phone. Gary
