@dogfishlake are you using accessories based around available 80/20 hardware or coming up with something proprietary?
80/20 accessories will work but also some things of my own. Awning mount, led light bar mount, RTT mounts, and a mesh panel for over the sun roof (to keep my dogs in and ventilated in my case) are in the works

Love it. What about a floor? Biggest issue I’ve slways run across with the PrInSu is the cross braces will bend if you step on them. Something to spread the load and have a flat surface would be ideal. Cedar planks? Chicken coop grates?

Maybe this?

Seriously, that's a good idea. 80/20 is strong but deflects. Will work on that

I'm in when they become available, would there be the possibility of different color powder coating? For more $ of course.

@dogfishlake I would love to see this in person, if you're ever in the Ann Arbor area.

Will those latches fit that 'other' rack some of us have? If so I am very intersted in a set to upgrade to this very slick attachment method.

Should not be a problem on the sides and front panel. I can coat the cross bars but it would be better to leave them black if that would work for you

My sister (whom now owns my beloved white 80 series) lives in Chelsea. I'll give a shout when I'm over that way. Decent brewery there.

Was thinking about a retro fit kit for that last night. It might take me a few weeks but that seems like a good idea. Those racks are very good otherwise

interested, looking forward to pricing

so besides the latch what are the main differences between yours and the prinsu rack? Are the side panels not bent on the prinsu rack. More detailed pics would be great when you have them.

Side panels are bent on the PrInSu

The sides are bent on both racks. Mine does not have the slot on the front of the side panel. It looked like a brush catcher. Also my front panel profile fits the roof really well. I do not have two holes for the t-slot mounting down the sides. I only have long slots to adjust the cross bars front to back. Not sure it will stay that way, but there are some parts in the works on that too.

One other difference would be that, based on his activity on Mud, he will respond to your questions and provide good customer service.

And also not leave customers in a lurch wondering where their rack is meanwhile having sold the company to another company and cashed out...

Thanks @LS1FJ40 , much appreciated. I intend to hold up to that endorsement. I am truly doing this because I love Cruisers and want to be part of the Cruiser world in a bigger way. I have been in the powder coating business for 24 years now and it sure has taught me a lot. Our customer service is very important, as well as the human connection. It is a reward for both me and my customers when we walk away happy and feel like we just did a transaction as friends. Cheesy sounding, but true. Behaving this way is the closest I can get to have "working" not feel so much like work.

What would really be awesome is retractable side rails and a mesh floor. I got rid of my prinsu because I literally can't put anything up there unless I have a mounting solution. Which defeat the purpose of having a roof rack....which is just throw sh!t up there as needed.

Btw you owe me a free rack if you go that route!!!:hillbilly:

How bout a free sticker? :flipoff2:.

Seriously the mesh top might just have to happen. I used to have an ARB and it was nice to just have a grid deck with a zillion tie down points.
