Damn that caliper is close, really close.

Before I go and reread this entire thread, anyone successfully using these rims on the older LC's (pre-bigger brakes) without spacers?

Comparing the lug nuts from the donor Tundra and they are more of a nickel finish compared to the LC's chrome. Looking closely they are actually capped vs. the solid lug on the 200. Yet another difference that sets the LC apart (or used to).

LC on the left, Tundra on the right.

New to me TRD BBS rims installed. Using published weights - BBS rim 27.7 lbs. + MICHELIN® Defender LTX M/S 2 285/65R18 116T XL BSW 38.4 lbs. = 66.1 lbs.

Looks just like my rig. Question: this is the set up I want to do this spring. Perhaps staying with an OEM tire size. How is the performance with this light combo?

Understand it's only been on a few days. The acceleration is better, much better. MPG has already jumped up a few. Also the 285/65R18 is 32.6 as opposed to less than 32 for the 285/60R18. I went with the non-OEM size as it's closer to a 33" which fits the 200 well.

HTH.

What were you running prior? I am running the OEM tundra tires that came with the wheels.

TRD Rock Warriors with the Toyota recommended size of LT285/70R17. Great combo, but was just looking for a change after almost a decade on them.

Congrats - looks great. I had been keeping an eye out for a set for my '13 but clearly I'm not looking often enough. I'll probably run 275/70/18 like most others.

I have 2 sets of OEM 20s right now, one set with dedicated snows. I do need to be careful of too much of a lift - right now even on full low I scrape the warning sign on the way into the parking garage.

This is the combination I am looking for. Do you have a lift? Any rubbing issues with the 285/65/18 michelin's ?

I have the 285/60/18 BFG's now, but i am looking for something a little more highway friendly [less noise] as I rarely take the LC off-road to any places the michelin's wouldn't handle.

Check my sig, as I have the Bilstein 6112/5160 shocks with the OEM strut spacer and the OME trim packer and air bags in the back. So yes a lift, but tame compared to most here on Mud. I scrape the parking garage entrance with my cargo box in the mountains as it is.

I've done moderate trails in Colorado with the older version of the Michelins just fine. My use case is the SUV is a tool to get us to where we do stuff, hike, bike, ski, paddle, whatever. Therefore I tired of the LT everywhere else, but time will tell I could go back?

Forgot to add, no rubbing. HTH.
