Alright all, new to this forum and I'm sure this was probably asked previously but, I still have a few questions after trying to filter through this forum; reason I ask is that when I search Toyota parts, it says that the 2019/2020 Tundra TRD Pros will not fit my vehicle but from the pics in this forum it appears it does. Currently running OEM wheels with BFG Ko2 285 60R18s on my 2013 LC200:
1) Do the 2019/2020 Tundra TRD Pros fit exactly on a 2013 LC200 or are there spacers needed or anything else? TPMS? Looks like I'll need new 275 65R18 tires ?
2) What are the tech differences between the 2019/2020 Tundra TRD Pros and OEM 2013 LC200 wheels?
3) What are the differences btwn the 2019 and 2020 Tundra TRD Pros? They have different part numbers but is that all. PT960-34190-02 vs. PT960-34200-02 - I am assuming that it's just 2019 vs. 2020 part naming

1)Yes they will fit with no modification needed. You will need new TPMS as the TPMS for Tundra does not sync with LC if I remember correctly. If you plan on getting rid of your current wheels, you might be able to use those TPMS
2) PRO wheels are BBS Forged wheels where factory LC are just alloys. The BBS Forged will be lighter and stronger.

Also why do you say you need 275/65R18? Is that a size you want? If you're KO2s have a lot of life left you can swap those, or you can get many different sizes of your liking if you want to upsize. Common upsize many have done here is 285/65R18.

Awesome, thanks for the quick response !

The answer to your question above is in this thread. Toyota doesn’t just change part numbers unless there is a change but you may not always see the change with the naked eye.
Thanks for the quick response. Will take a pass through again.

3) 2019 are Satin black and 2020 are matte black.

Here's a set of 2019 Tundra TRD Pro wheels on my 2019 that I had repainted HE Bronze and I'm running 1.25" spacers.

And on the tires, I'm not tied to what I have already but was just trying to make a simple transition.

Depending on how many miles/years are on your TPMS it may be cost effective to move yours over, and in that case they have to open your existing wheels/tires... some of the labor is done.

Alternately you can run lower quality sensors intended to "clone" your current ones, but they won't last as long. Your third option is either get OEM or OEM supplier sensors.. pacific industries makes them for the earlier 200s, not sure about later. Then you'd have to program your TPMS module to recognize those Tx IDs but there are a few options for how to do that. This will get you the longest life out of the TPMS setup you install with your new BBS TuRD Pros.

Here is some info I made in the video below that answers some of your questions. Your fine on TPMS, they will work for sure. But as @bloc mentioned the age is a factor. Batteries typically start to die at year 6-9. OEM sensors are $70 each. Cloneable aftermarkets are $35. I was not aware that the 2019/2020 were a different sheen. I have used both many times and noticed the word "PRO" changed to "TRD" on the lip in MY2020 but never noticed the satin/matte difference noted.

@FJ73Texas explained:
The "TRD" flat black wheels, p/n PT960-34200-02 are ILA optional wheels for the Tundra TRD Sport Package only. They are not as common and Toyota only calls for 1-2 sets per production day. The customer or dealer has to pay extra for those wheels on top of the TRD Sport package and it is my guess many customers don't. Maybe many customers are not aware of this optional wheel upgrade if they buy a TRD Sport pkg??

It makes no sense to me why Toyota wants to run these when they could just run the "PRO" flat black PT960-34190-F2 to fill that little production demand of the TRD Sport Package. 99% of the people will never notice the difference in my opinion.

That is inaccurate. You can't get the either set of BBS Forged wheels on a TRD Sport from the factory/port. The dealer can buy the wheels from the parts catalog and install them as a dealer installed option (DIO). They are not "protected" like the Heritage wheels.

When I go "Build" a SR or SR5 Tundra on Toyota.com, they list the TRD Forged 18" BBS wheel package for $1,995 msrp under Accessory Packages for the Tundra. TRD 18" Matte Black Wheels, Black Lug Nuts, Black Wheel Locks, Michelin LTX A/T Tires (275/65R-18). Do you know if that accessory package can be ordered through the parts counter?

Yes you can get BBS (only the ones with the red dot sticker shown on the rack in your video, stamped "TRD" on the flange) on the TRD sport from the factory. It is called ILA. "In-Line-Accessory" wheel when assembled at the factory.

The supplier to toyota, Pacific Industries, can be found on amazon (without a toyota part number) for about $35 each also.

Well, I'm wrong! Glad I am not a betting man, I would have lost the farm. I did a locate, there are 10 in the country with the BBS wheel package. Thanks for the info.

I wasn't out to "prove you wrong" or anything. Putting the BBS wheel on the TRD Sport Pkg at the factory is extremely rare occurrence, but it does happen.

I appreciate it. Always learning.
