A little to blingy for my taste!
Arb F/R lockers, and winch.
Unloaded yesterday at home then dropped off the Uhaul.
Having a slight Arb issue which will continue as it's been snowing since yesterday. I need to build a heated garage.
Interior is in great shape.
3B powered and 5speed manual.

Agree on the little too blingy....
Replace the rims with something you like, paint the chrome side mirrors and do something with the front bumper....
Otherwise.... you have a very nice LC.....

Haha
Agreed. Have the stock mirrors!
Yup, Black rums and Duratracs...
Hasn't been driven since 2011, but he did change oils, filters and tinkered.
Gotta love old retired guys@

I like it!

Black rum sounds OK. Black rims? Terrible idea on a black cruiser. Go with white or stock steelies. :flipoff2:

Oh well, I had good intentions.

The Sudbury gives it away. Well, that and the snow. Otherwise Ont, CA could be mistaken for yet another Californicator. Amazing that the BJ70 appears to be in such great shape, if it's native to that area. Lots of road salt and rust going on there.

So,
Removed the Oz Superwinch and might repair it as something to tinker with after building a new front t bumper because what was on it just didn't speak to me.
After swapping the s***ty street tires for the Po's 15" Kuhmo' s and having to use his spacers I've bitten the bullet and ordered the 42601-60262-03 16" rims. BTW just might have some more 5lug and 6 lug split rims if anyone is interested. Might be $20.00 per rim you pay shipping !
Once the snow melts in a few weeks I will pick up a stash of new OEM Japanese Dunlop Sandgrips for free...just because my M101Cdn has them and the unit will be my summer driver because I cannot bring myself to driving her on our salty roads.
As with most 70's I found this one had issues with heater controls so iI traced the lines to isolate the issue and luckily the solution is to synchronize the heater valve and door flap by adjusting and lubing the cables. Note the door flap was the main culprit.
Insulated some PO wiring and refused the ARB compressor.
Interesting that my 80 walks up my hill to the backyard whereas the 70 will require some locker assistance.
My feeling on this are tires and weight of the 80.

Yes, the home made bullbar bumper thing just looks home made. It might look a little better if it was closer to the 70. It would be pain in a tight parking area. Tyres look like they have a 90% road tread, they would be the main problem.
Whats that thing between the front fender and indicator, is it a badge or side maker light?
Is this a cdn 70?

Rosco,
Yes a Cdn unit!
The things are LED marker lights and luckily the originals and the original mirrors came home with me.

What a day!
Dealer called to say my rims were in.
Pleasantly surprised to see the price after my parts guy said "let me look at the price"
42601-60262-03 x 4 for $411.00 Cdn.

Finally got a trailer wiring harness installed.
Went quite well until I tried the brake circuit.
After head scratching the culprit was the brake pedal switch.
Hotwired the plug and yes brake lights work.
Next thing was to remove the switch, open the tabs, take everything apart clean with a sensor cleaner and a bit of rough exercise.
The reward is everything works.

New boots!
Free and brand new...matching set on the M101CDN as well as the spare!
Planning to leave this week for a tailgate party in Haines Alaska for some telemark backcountry skiing.
Bringing a whitewater kayak, gold pan and fishing rod and mountain bike.
Waiting to pick up a RTT this week.
I know the 80 is a better ride and has room for everything inside, but I'm retired and hey it's an Adventure!!

Left Sudbury Ontario 3 days ago and spent the night in a good hotel in Edmonton because otherwise I may have kept on going. Have driven through rain ,snow more snow, sun, and then cursed wind.
Seen mileage of 17mpg all the way to 35mpg! Going to try to travel like a sailboat....favourable winds.
I did install a modern Pioneer unit in order to listen to anything but windshield wiper relay static through the speakers.
Surprisingly this unit is growing on me! The more I drive the more I appreciate the simplicity and pure determination on this little engine,

pure Honey Badger.

Stopped in Edmonton to visit 4wheelauto. What a great spot. Parts, service and eye candy. Did drive away with new OME shocks, temp gauge and some driving lights just because the wind tends to diminish at night and the 3B can lay down some easy miles.
Seriously thinking of a Turbo!
I did get into the 15BT powered 60 done up by 4wheel, that thing rocks!
