Well I finally am getting around to posting here - picked up a pig a few months back from a guy up in Abilene. Says he got it from someone in Oregon. He has done a lot of great work but this is my list:

Re-arch springs and new shocks
Replace 350 with stock 1F and 3sp
Replace drivers side floor pan (from behind front door to body mount near pedals)
Rubber/Stripping - Front door window channel and rear tailgate
Paint - looks good - probably touch up and paint interior and dash
Repair dashpad - get glove box latch
Replace/Find all gauges/switches.

My goal is to make this as original as I can and then enjoy it for a bit and then sell (just found another FJ62 :/)

Questionable items:
Power Steering and Power Brakes
AC

Ill post pictures tomorrow!!

Welcome to the sty. Can't wait to see your piggie.

Welcome to the 55 world. Hopefully after you drive it a while, we can twist your mind enough to keep it. 62s got nothing on a 55! :)

So the plan is to take it from SBC back to the 1F? Nice...

Besides the floor pan work, I think detailing the interior back to original will be very tricky. Need to find all the missing switched and whatnot - I have the original radio - might do another hidden stereo.

The dash pad - remove/ seal sand fix and recover or are there better option. I think SOR is like $500.

I need to find out what the driveline setup in Houston has - thinking finding the pedals and stick shifter and crossmember may take a while.
