I didn't know the Clamshell was made with an option of cruise control or not. Mine has cruise control (I thought they all did) but the shell I got on Ebay was for non. I made it work though with a Dremel, wasn't hard and looks just fine.

It is my understanding that all North America 80s came with cruise control. At least that is what I remember @cruiserdan saying.

However, I ordered mine without cruise back in 1991. So I very well may have the only cruiseless North America 80 series.

Cruise was an "option" but TMS USA ordered virtually everything with it. The above truck is the only confirmed non-cruise example I am aware of.

It's common. Reputable does mean correctly. The Land Cruiser glass doesn't get installed like most other vehicles.
@NLXTACY you are right about the windshield. It has been raining all day and both bottom corners of the windshield leak like a sieve. I 'm currently swapping out my interior and finishing up a full-on cld, ccf, mlv treatment so I'd really like to tighten up any windshield issues. Do you have any advise for me?

I may have to rename her from LC to Unicorn!

HOW TO: Fix your leaky windshield

update: this might seem like a small thing, but, my wiper arm on the back window was discolored and a tad rusty. A little satin black spray paint and a new wiper blade later, and we are good to go. It's the small things and attention to detail that make me happy!

On another note, my in-house mechanic will be performing a valve adjustment, timing adjustment and other misc. things in about 2 weeks. I will post an update after that. I am chomping at the bit to get these things done, but, I need to be patient and not drive hubby (in-house mechanic) crazy. We have family visiting, etc. so that is why we are waiting. He will do several things at once so I'm hoping the LC will run a bit better. It actually runs pretty good, but, there is valve clatter/chatter. In the meantime, I have a date with a can of scotch guard to clean my headliner. Talk to you soon!
