Haven't been messing with the 40 much lately, been busy with my new partner in crime Gertrude. She doesn't seem to mind riding in it.

They're only about a half inch taller than the krawlers I had on there so there isnt too much difference. Don't have to worry about getting hung up on the diffs as much. The tires themselves performed great, 15 psi and they never skipped a beat. I didnt know much about the pro comp super extremes but I'm glad i got them now. Fantastic on road manners and a lot less road noise.

Thanks to an awesome tlca member (who wanted to GIVE me the box if i covered shipping which blew my mind. I did throw some cash his way for his troubles because im not an asshat) this dealie is making its way to my grubby hands. 60 ps box drilled and tapped for hydro assist with ruffstuff pitman arm. The arm is reamed for an 80 series tre but that wont be hard to ream a bit more for my chev 1 ton drag link. Was planning on tackling this this winter so it was a wicked find.

Guess I have to do some reading and measuring before finding a cylinder now. Luckily I live in a mining town so here are more than a few shops that rebuild and sell hydraulic cylinders around.

Put the 40 away for the winter this week and started tinkering a bit.

I threw another tube at the front bumper and stayed true to my unsymetrical is the new symetrical design language.

Next I dicked with my hot air intake. It sat just a little too high and rubbed the underside of my hood in one spot... simple fix right? Yeah no. I ended up moving the rad forward another 1mm on the ds, put the intake pipe in the vice to ovalize it a bit where it passes by the alternator and upper rad hose, then redid my mounting bracket beside the alternator. All this bs resulted in another 1/4" of clearance and no more rubbing.

The right hand gear clamp on the silicone 45 in the pic used to rub. Now it has a little more room.

The hinges are ok.... I guess. Lol.

Morning Wood in the Sue? Never been but a few buddies have and loved it. This is Blueberry Hill in Hanmer, 15 minutes out of Sudbury. My favorite trail around here.

Pics of Gertie on over watch because.

Color matched some tupperware under the hood and double checked measurements for the proposed hydro assist ram. Ordered a 1.75 x 6" psc unit and a couple other goodies from tmr yesterday. Also have a pair of ome dakar leaf packs coming.

Gertie sucks at holding the flashlight and just sat there staring while I struggled.
