Definitely a 2F or F.5. If you can't find a serial number on the block by the starter it may be an OE replacement block...

No idea what carb that is. It looks almost like a '77, but no EGR tube. Maybe a Trollhole carb?

That's not a 69, it's a 73. Big backup light, door panels, stereo hole and 1.5 F engine. Also 4 speed. Must be a between the year 73-74. Check the vin and frame numbers. Or of course it could be a frakencruiser!

Cool rig tho, amazing how many of these were turned into plows.

Then it's gotta be a frankencruiser...

A 2F valve cover will fit on a F or F.5 engine...

True! Haha... I didn't even look close, just saw the knobs... The doors are def from a 74 tho... It has a four speed and floor shift so that's not 69. Anyhoo, looks like a lot of work is ahead, or just keep running it as is I guess.

Ive been thinking frankencruiser from the beginning lol. The ownership states that its a 69... No obvious identification plates left anywhere I can see. Where do I find the frame ID?

Those brake lights are trailer barn specials and are not oem although I kind of like where they are. You guys are saying the back up light is a stock item?

Anyhoo, I put up a couple wanted posts here and there looking for a tub and random parts so well see. May get around to moving the ds seat back a couple inches today so I can actually fit in it and drive it half assed. Might jigger the ds floor at the same time so the seat doesnt fall through it...

Doors were the same 63-74.

The frame is stamped on the passenger side behind the bumper.

Umm, me no think so...
Those doors have the super rare door panels only seen on 74 models.

But hell I could be wrong... Wouldn't be the first time... :/

And are those factory bucket seats?

Ok, I see it....in the pic with the gear shift. I thought the panel went all the way to the edge?

Definitely Frankencruiser, or should we say, the Monster.

Thanks!

Took a quick look at the carb earlier and it had an aisin decal on it... Ill take some close ups later. The seats do look like theyre factory but from a later model maybe? Theyre that greeny gray vinyl and seem to be attached to the factory seat brackets. The vinyl is cracked to s*** though.

Had the ds door panel off yesterday and it seems to me that they can be retrofitted into an older cruiser easily enough. Theres a top sill and another u shaped plate w a channel around the perimeter behind the door handle/latch. You loosen the 4 screws that hold the latch on, remove the door handle, and unscrew the bottom rear window runner bolt then pop off the old school steel tabs. Now it just slides forward and off.

D

PS The 40 hunt I went on yesterday yielded a landrover series 1?... Old guy was a hoarder, lived in a run down mobile home, had 15 dogs and a yard full of crap (dog and steel). I braved the dog gauntlet, knocked on the door and was told that there wasnt any toyotas there, just the rover. There was a cool old yellow international travelall, an 80's ramcharger... Didnt look much more cause I was starting to get that hills have eyes feeling and dude didnt strike me as the "come look at my junk" type.

I did get to use the power vag to get up his sheer icy cliff of a driveway. I hate to say it but Im getting to like it more as time goes by...

'63 to the first half of '65 had different doors, with bug catcher wing windows. So no, '63 to '74 are not all the same. :)

But of course! My info provided by $OR!

Ripped out the interior yesterday and got depressed. The floor is a mess, so is the cargo area, the rear wheel wells, tranny hump...... But isnt it funny how no matter how bad something looks, the more you look at it the easier you make yourself think its gonna be to fix?

Pitchers.

Plan for now is to rip out whats left of the drivers floor, run some reinforcement plate under it (connecting the two body x members and running under the left front drivers seat bracket), and then plate over that with some 1/8 I have stashed. The aforementioned seat bracket is a little rotten so I have to rebuild that too. Should hold me over for a bit and make it safe(er) to plow with.

As you can now easily see, those floors and the rear part of the tub have been replaced at least once already, but not very well prepped.

Definitely an Aisan carb, but no idea what year. Did Canada ever have EGR required? If no my guess is still '77.

Do Trollhole's carbs have the Aisan stamp on them?

Sorry to hear about the bad news, but hang in there and things will work out for you!:beer:

Don't worry, I had holes in the floorboard you could drop a basketball through. (literally) I went from this...

I think our 40s are bastard cousins. Mine's a 66 frame and tub, 70ish fenders, 71 F.5, Muncie and Dana drive line all with Freeborn Red over Spring Green. Frankencruiser might have to be its new name. :)

I'll be eagerly watching what you do with this. I loved your 80 build - it was one of the threads that started the LC fascination for me.

Thanks man, I miss that 80 a lot. Love the green cruiser, the tan one is awesome as well but I doubt mine will ever be at that level. Actually judging by some recent fab work I may end up with a covered wagon (see pics below)

Jiggered the ds seat back in and did the snow. Ran and plowed mint!

Well got some wicked news. Found a redone tub (still bare steel), firewall, 2 doors, windshield frame, and two partially redone fenders in Calgary. Even better I found someone to ship it for me for a reasonable price. So 1500$ later I should be on my way. Crossing my fingers that everything works out, should have it by sunday or monday...

D

Got the seller to throw in a rear hatch and mini barn doors for another 75 bucks which was cool.

Everything got loaded up this morning and should be making its way to Sudbury.

Heres a list of junk Im gonna want/need just in case anyone has any of it. Not looking for perfect condition either.

-the latches on the hood that secure the windshield to it when its folded
-stock round turn signals
-stock round rear brake lights/signals

-used OME or similar (hsf/ironman...) leafs/shackles/shocks. Basically a used lift from someone that has upgraded... Would prefer to get it from somewhere in Canada to ease shipping costs but would be open to getting it out of the states as well.

Thats the list so far, also gonna post in the classifieds but figured may as well do it here too.
